Justin Sun, the ruler of TRON, yearns for more travels, but his crypto kingdom requires his presence.
“Crypto’s thrilling developments every week leave no room for vacations,” he revealed to CoinDesk in December.

If he were to escape, Mars might be his destination, but only for a two-way trip.
“Mars exploration could be the only thing to change my mind on crypto,” he mused.

But trading on Mars would be tougher than on Coinbase in 2013, Sun admitted, when order books were thin and matching engines were yet to be invented.
“In 2013, selling Bitcoin on Coinbase was a week-long affair,” he recalled.

“You had to set a price range, and they would notify you later about the sale and final price.”
“It was like being on Mars.”

The crypto realm of Sun

With TRON’s foundation in 2017, Sun has become a titan in Asian crypto.
TRON boasts 125 million active users, and over $50 billion in USDT is traded on the network daily.
Sun’s X account has 3.7 million followers, and his influence extends to affiliated companies like HTX, BitGo, and Rainberry.

CoinDesk sought to discuss topics beyond crypto with Sun, but alas, everything seemed to lead back to digital assets.

For Sun, crypto intertwines with every aspect of life, even art.
He owns Picasso and Warhol masterpieces and recently purchased a $6.2 million banana artwork, only to eat it!

“The banana taped to the wall is not about the physical artwork itself. It’s a concept, an image,” Sun explained.
“When I first learned about bitcoin, I thought it was cool because you can pass customs without anyone knowing you’re carrying wealth.”

Gaming: No escape from crypto

Sun’s love for gaming, particularly Tropico and Civilization IV, mirrors his real-world endeavors.
“I run a neutral island, pleasing both the U.S. and the Soviet Union by giving each an island for their military bases,” he said.
“They pay me for it.”

Sun’s gaming obsession and crypto saga continue, with some critics comparing him to Game of Thrones characters.
“Justin Sun is like a Game of Thrones episode,” he quipped. “No matter what you think of him, you need to keep watching.”
