Honkai Star Rail version 3.1 launches on February 26 bringing in a new map, two new playable characters, and more

In their latest broadcast, HoYoverse unveiled that the update for Honkai: Star Rail, titled “Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne,” is scheduled to release globally on February 26, supporting PC, PS5, iOS, and Android devices.

In the upcoming update, players will assume the job of a messenger on an unfamiliar territory called Grove of Epiphany. Two fresh characters, Tribbie and Mydei, are set to make their debut alongside an established cast in this update. For returning favorites, Yunli and Huohuo will be featured in the initial and subsequent stages of the update as part of version 3.1 of Honkai Star Rail. Today, HoYoverse revealed that an update for Honkai: Star Rail, titled “Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne” (Version 3.1), is set to release on February 26th. In this new version, players and their comrades will press forward on the epic Flame-Chase Journey, exploring unknown realms and experiencing a rich tapestry of exciting events. To make the adventure even more captivating, two fresh playable characters, Tribbie and Mydei, will be introduced. These newcomers will contribute their unique stories to the ongoing narrative.

Previously, Nikador managed to regain his Coreflame. However, the Quest for the Flame-Chase is still a battle against time’s relentless march. Now that this crucial moment has been reached, plans for what comes next are already being put into action. In the latest update, Version 3.1, our Trailblazer assumes the duty of a messenger and sets off on an adventure with their companions to a fresh territory called “Grove of Epiphany.” The journey carries on here, filled with renewed determination.

In the venerated city-state of Epiphany Grove, which pays tribute to Titan Cerces, the embodiment of Reason, stands Amphoreus – a center brimming with wisdom and maintaining close ties with Okhema. Known for its significant intellectual contributions to the Flame-Chase Journey, this city has been a key player in crucial research about the black tide and Titans, shining as a beacon of insight and advancement. Much like Kephale, Cerces harbors benevolence towards mankind and, with unending kindness, transformed Epiphany Grove into a refuge for knowledge seekers, offering respite, learning opportunities, and sharing the world’s wisdom to mortals once ensnared in darkness. However, this sanctuary of knowledge has been overtaken by the black tide’s attack. As chaos unfolds, an ominous adversary has appeared, aiming to seize Cerces’ Coreflame. In the latest Trailblaze Mission (Version 3.1), it falls upon Trailblazers to meet this challenge: saving survivors, unraveling secrets behind the calamity, and reclaiming Cerces’ Coreflame to revive hope in Okhema.

In addition, during Version 3.1’s main narrative, the Trailblazers will utilize Oronyx’s power to revive remnants of history, which will guide them to a fresh map. On this map, the “Abyss of Fate,” formerly known as “Janusopolis,” is visible in its daytime form. As they progress, they will unearth hidden truths from the “Era Chrysea,” gradually revealing the enigmatic past of Tribbie, the most recent 5-star character that can be played.

In the role of Amphoreus’s initial demigod, Tribios, also known as the Holy Maiden of “Janusopolis,” was foretold the prophecy of Salvation by Kephale. To disseminate this prophecy across Amphoreus, Tribios utilized the “Century Gate,” transforming herself into countless Messengers and embarking on a lengthy expedition.

As a top-tier Quantum character adhering to the Harmony Pathway, Tribbie not only offers aid and direction to the Chrysos Heirs during their Flame-Chase Journey but also plays a crucial part in combat. Even on the dynamic battlefield, she collaborates closely with teammates to enhance the team’s abilities. Tribbie can establish a unique zone where enemies sustain increased damage. Whenever an enemy within this zone is assaulted, Tribbie inflicts additional damage upon the one with the highest health. She frequently triggers Follow-up ATKs to aid the team in swiftly concluding battles. While improving the environment for her allies to inflict damage, she simultaneously boosts the team’s overall combat capacity. Additionally, she often triggers Follow-up ATKs to help the team finish a battle quickly. By enhancing the conditions for her teammates to deal damage, she further amplifies the team’s combative strength.

In the game, the character who earns a 5-star rating and becomes playable is Mydei. Originally from a distant realm with his people, Mydei now holds the title of Crown Prince in Castrum Kremnos, displaying courage equal to that of a lion as a warrior. As an Imaginary character on the Destruction Path, Mydei employs his immortal essence effectively in combat against adversaries. With an impressive Max HP, he can absorb HP to empower himself and transform into an enhanced state. In this empowered form, Mydei automatically attacks enemies during his turn, dealing more damage and demonstrating the strength of Castrum Kremnos’s crown prince.

Furthermore, you’ll find Yunli and Huohuo, the powerful 5-star characters, reappearing during the first half (Yunli) and second half (Huohuo) of the Version 3.1 warp event. These valuable allies will significantly aid your upcoming adventures.

Apart from introducing fresh characters and plot twists, Version 3.1 offers a plethora of thrilling occurrences. A notable event is the launch of Divergent Universe’s new season, focusing on Amphoreus as its primary research subject. This season introduces an intriguing “Day and Night System” in battles, where fighting shifts between day and night. Each phase offers distinct advantages, while transitions create additional effects. Moreover, the Day and Night System and its linked Blessings are closely tied to the Titans and Chrysos Heirs, enriching gameplay with strategic depth and lore. Furthermore, players will participate in The Awooo Firm event, assuming the role of a manager to aid the chimera squad in Okhema. By offering advice and assistance, players can help the squad improve their standing and become the most powerful team possible.
