Many Battlefield 6 players have noticed a frustrating issue where accurate shots don’t always register as hits. Since the game came out on October 10th, players have been sharing videos and stories showing how this bug is causing them to lose battles online.
PC Gamer reports that Battlefield 6 players were running into a frustrating bug with weapon bloom. Normally, bloom – which makes weapons less accurate the longer you fire – should only affect sustained fire. However, players were experiencing inaccurate shots even with short bursts and at various distances.
Because of this, players were frequently losing battles they should have won and experiencing confusing visuals—like seeing enemies bleed even though the game didn’t register a hit—while shooting at them.
We’ve resolved the initial Beta bug, but we’ve discovered two new issues affecting how spread or bloom works in the game. These issues may cause increased spread at times. Our team is currently working on a fix and also evaluating the overall balance of spread to ensure a good experience.

Players noticed a bug that seemed very similar to one from the Battlefield 6 open beta in August. However, Florian Le Bihan, a lead designer for Battlefield, said the team had already fixed that original beta issue.
After realizing how many players were affected by the bloom bug, Le Bihan started collecting information from them to help the Battlefield team figure out what was causing the problem. They eventually traced it to a specific set of weapon attachments and released a quick fix on October 15th to completely resolve it.
Honestly, even with some of the stuff people were talking about, Battlefield 6 has been a huge hit! It was the number one game on Steam all weekend, and I heard it’s already sold over 6.5 million copies in just its first week – that’s amazing!
