This year marks The Sims’ 25th birthday, and Electronic Arts (EA) plans to honor the occasion by releasing three brand-new Kits for The Sims 4 over the coming days.

The news was shared during an episode of Behind The Sims that was live-streamed and later uploaded to the main Sims YouTube channel. This broadcast highlighted several prominent “Simmers,” individuals who showcase their Sims 4 gameplay on platforms like Twitch or YouTube. Notably, one of the forthcoming Kits was developed in partnership with LilSimsie, a renowned Sims 4 content creator celebrated for her intricate house designs.

The titles of the Kits haven’t been revealed just yet, but we know when they’ll be available: You can expect to buy all three Kits starting January 16th. Although the exact price hasn’t been disclosed, historically Sims 4 Kits have retailed for $5 USD each. So, players should be able to acquire all three new Kits for a total of approximately $15.

When it comes to the actual content included in these Kits, EA was a little more forthcoming.

During the live broadcast, LilSimsie mentioned that two of the Kits contain a blend of Build/Buy Mode items and Create-A-Sim goods reminiscent of Sims icons. As for the final Kit, she excitedly added, “That one was made in partnership with me!

Since LilSimsie is renowned for designing grand lots in Build Mode, it’s reasonable to expect that the collaboration kit she worked on will feature numerous new items, making it easier for gamers to construct unique in-game residences.

Besides the enigmatic new Kits, there are several other exciting aspects for players: As per the livestream schedule, the game’s main menu is undergoing a complete UI overhaul, which has already been implemented. Moreover, Electronic Arts (EA) has confirmed that the MySims: Cozy Bundle will be available on PC starting March 18; currently, it can only be played on Nintendo Switch. Lastly, The Sims FreePlay is set to receive a new update on February 4, which celebrates the game’s early years, having first been released in 2000.

EA announced that “The Sims FreePlay” is about to receive an exciting update! Starting February 4th, you’ll be able to step back into the ’00s and revisit where it all began for The Sims. Join special events, unlock fashionable velour tracksuits, and receive 25 days worth of in-game gifts filled with some of the most legendary items from The Sims’ past!
