On April 18, the revamped Lunar Remastered Collection is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One, as announced by GungHo Entertainment.
The digital version of this product is priced at $50, and its physical counterpart will cost $55. In North America, you can only get the physical copies from Amazon, whereas European buyers can purchase them through Clear River Games. Interestingly, both versions come with reversible covers featuring two fresh pieces of artwork by Toshiyuki Kubooka – a renowned artist who contributed to the original first two games in this series.

To cater to a wider audience, this collection will offer subtitles not just in Japanese and English, but also in French and German languages. This multilingual approach ensures that more gamers can enjoy these timeless adventures!
Users have the option to select either the original or updated visual styles. The traditional style reflects the graphics from the original PlayStation, while the upgraded version includes widescreen compatibility, improved pixel art, and high-definition animated cutscenes.
In 1992 and 1994, Lunar: Silver Star and Lunar: Eternal Blue were initially launched on Sega CD. Later, they were reimagined as Complete editions for the original PlayStation and hit shelves in 1999.
The announcement for the collection was made during the September 2024 State of Play broadcast. So far, subsequent installments in the series have appeared on the PSP and Nintendo DS, like Silver Star: Harmony. However, it remains unclear whether these games will also be ported to contemporary platforms.
