I was bummed out when Ubisoft announced another delay for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, pushing its release to March 20th, 2025. Marc-Alexis Côté, the executive producer of the Assassin’s Creed series, shared the news on our official site and social media channels. He explained that they needed a bit more time to incorporate some valuable feedback from our gaming community. So, I guess it means more polishing and improvements for an even better game experience!

The pre-sale for the upcoming game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, hasn’t started yet, but you can find its listings across various console and PC platforms where it will be available. Interestingly, one listing hints at post-launch content for Assassin’s Creed Shadows; however, specifics about this additional content are scarce at the moment.

Note: Details on the Assassin's Creed Shadows expansion have been removed from its Steam listing following Insider Gaming's report on 10th January 2025. However, we managed to get a screenshot mentioning the DLC before the listing was updated and the information removed. The original reporting continues below.

After the late announcement of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on 9th January 2025, the game’s listings were revised to show its new release date, although pre-ordering was not an option at that time. However, Insider Gaming discovered some intriguing post-launch details, such as hints of a DLC planned for this year.

As I scrolled through the details of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Steam, I stumbled upon a “Pre-Purchase Offer” that intrigued me. It turned out to be quite exciting news – those who pre-order this game will get an exclusive bonus quest when it launches and later this year, we’ll also receive the “Claws of Awaji expansion.” This was information I wasn’t expecting to see, given the game’s delay. However, it seems that the Steam listing was updated before Ubisoft could take it down, leaving us gamers with a delightful surprise!

Additional details concerning the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, such as exclusive cosmetics like gear and weapon sets, trinkets, ornaments, and mastery points, were initially listed on its Steam page. However, these details were not meant to be disclosed after the recent delay for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Despite this, the Steam listing has been revised, eliminating these details; however, it seems that Ubisoft may have revealed them a bit too early.
