It seems more details about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 have apparently been leaked. It’s said that internal listings for accessories have appeared within GameStop’s employee computer system. As expected, items like a carrying case and Joy-Con charging stand are on the list. However, what stands out is the variety of microSD options. This is intriguing because it appears that Nintendo’s next console may support express card functionality, which allows for easier expansion of storage.

A Reddit post unveiled what appears to be GameStop listings for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, featuring potential microSD express card options of 256GB and 512GB. It’s not specified which brand these cards belong to, but SanDisk offers 128GB and 256GB versions, interestingly omitting the 512GB option. Notably, SanDisk claims that their microSD express cards deliver read speeds that are 4.4 times faster than the fastest alternative on the market. As per SanDisk, this speed boost significantly enhances the gaming experience by enabling players to start playing games more rapidly and immerse themselves in hyper-realistic virtual environments. At present, the current Nintendo Switch does not support these types of cards.
