NetEase Games, the developers of Marvel Rivals, have made an update to their Hero Popularity Rankings page prior to the launch of Season 1 and the upcoming maintenance period on January 9th, 2025. They announced that the rankings, which display data for both console and PC platforms, will be accessible before the start of Season 1, and the maintenance is scheduled to commence shortly.
The revised Hero Hot List has given players access to data on the selection frequency (Pick Rate) and victory success (Win Rate) for all characters across various gaming platforms and the main game modes, Quickplay and Competitive. From the information presented in the Hero Hot List, it appears that Strategist heroes are leading in both game modes for console and PC versions. Specifically, Jeff The Baby Land, Cloak & Dagger, Mantis, and Luna Snow have been the most popular choices among players and also boast the highest win percentages.
The Marvel Rivals Hero Hot List became active on the 6th of January 2025, coinciding with the launch of the Developer Vision Vol. 3 video where they announced that they’d disclose hero Pick and Win Rates once Season 0 comes to an end. Key information will be presented in a format featuring filters for platforms, game modes, roles, and individual heroes. They combined PC and console statistics for the Quickplay mode since players engage and compete across these platforms.

Regarding the Quickplay mode, it’s interesting to note that Jeff The Baby Land, affectionately known as the shark strategist, has the highest pick rate at approximately 21.18%. Venom trails close behind with a pick rate of about 19.09%. However, these characters have some of the lowest win rates. In contrast, Mantis leads with a win rate of 56.03%, followed by Peni Parker at 55.38%.
In the Competitive mode, we’ll see separate statistics for PC and console platforms, and the data will be organized by rank to provide a clearer picture of the battlefield dynamics.
In the competitive mode, Luna Snow is chosen most frequently (20.66%) among all strategist heroes on PC, while Mantis boasts the highest victory rate (55.20%). Hela follows closely with a high win rate of 54.24%. On consoles, Cloak & Dagger leads as the most selected hero (26.04%) for battle, and again, Mantis takes the lead in the competitive mode with a victory rate of 55.40%, followed by Magik at 54.89%.
According to NetEase, as stated in the Developer Vision Vol. 3 video, the Hero Hot List is scheduled for an update approximately every six weeks or halfway through each game season. The next update is set for late February 2025, marking the start of the second half of Season 1.
