NAVI Javelins have been a consistent presence in the competitive female Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) arena. They participate in six ESL Impact League tournaments, with their journey starting at Valencia 2022. The team made its debut in the scene with an all-Polish roster in April 2022 and emerged victorious at the IESF Women’s World Championship.
In August 2024, the team made two roster swaps (Mayline-Joy “ASTRA” Champliaud and Marta “D7” Asensio), after which they ended up among the top four at the ESL Impact League Season 6 Finals in November 2024. More recently, the organization has given its players permission to pursue other options.
As a devoted fan, I regretfully share the news that NAVI Javelins has ceased to exist. In a brief statement posted on their official website and across social media platforms, the organization provided a concise explanation of this unfortunate development.
The NAVI esports team has chosen to step away from women’s competitive Counter-Strike competition. Currently, it appears that the economic structure of this specific esports sector is unstable and hinders strategic long-term development.
Navi didn’t provide detailed explanations about their concerns regarding the business model or why it might be unsustainable. However, they did highlight the Javelins’ successes, including their six wins at various ESL Impact LAN tournaments and their victory in EPL Female Season 1.
