As an ardent Pokemon Go player with years of experience under my belt, I find myself grappling with the recent changes in the Community Day events, particularly the doubling of the ticket price from $1 to $2. This might not seem like a significant hike for some, but for those of us who’ve been part of this journey since its inception, it’s a noticeable bump.
The Community Day Ticket has always been a cherished addition to the event, offering exclusive rewards at an affordable price. However, the sudden increase now makes it less appealing and more burdensome for many dedicated players like myself. It’s a bit ironic that as we venture into the world of Pokemon GO: Dual Destiny, we find ourselves facing a single-handed destiny – to shell out more cash for the same rewards.
That being said, I appreciate Niantic’s effort to introduce new elements and experiences in the Community Day events. The new Timed Research, Special Research, and rare Field Research sound intriguing, and I’m eager to see how they’ll unfold. But let’s hope that this isn’t a permanent shift, as I fear that if the ticket price remains at $2, it might just make me feel like I’ve been caught in a Pokemon GO-dfather’s poketch!
On a lighter note, perhaps they should consider introducing a new feature: a “Pokemon Go”-getti and split the bill with us players. That way, we can all enjoy the Community Day events without feeling like we’re being taken for a ride!
Every month, participants join the Community Day event of the mobile game Pokemon Go, a regular monthly occasion where one specific Pokemon is showcased and can be caught in its Shiny form. For January, Sprigatito is the featured Pokemon for the Community Day, but players aiming to acquire this grassy cat-like creature should be prepared to spend twice as much as previous Community Day events cost.
Earlier, a Community Day Ticket could be bought within the game for only $1. However, starting this month, its price has been increased to $2. Although it now comes with a new reward (a battle pass), you may find that Pokemon Go battle passes are usually offered in pairs at a lower cost.
Additionally, modifications have been implemented in the Community Day event, according to Niantic – the developers of Pokemon Go. However, they’ve hinted that some of these alterations might not endure forever.
Beginning in January, prepare for fresh Timed Research, Special Research that requires payment, and unique Field Research as you hunt for the highlighted Pokémon during Community Day in Pokemon GO. These special encounters come with exclusive Season backgrounds – a first for Dual Destiny! We’re experimenting with new elements for Community Day, which we may adjust based on feedback for future seasons.
It’s uncertain whether the cost of the Community Day Ticket might be reassessed as part of potential changes that Niantic could review in the future.
