As a seasoned Warzone player with countless hours under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from the rise and fall of popular weapons to the emergence of sleeper hits. The latest addition to this rollercoaster is the KSV SMG, a weapon that has been overshadowed by the Jackal PDW and C9 despite its exceptional close-range performance.
I’ve been using the KSV loadout suggested by TrueGameData, and let me tell you, it’s a game changer! With a 600ms time-to-kill (TTK), this weapon outperforms the Jackal in terms of damage per magazine. The vertical foregrip ensures easy handling, making headshots a breeze, even in the heat of battle.
The KSV might not be as popular yet, but give it time. It’s like that underdog player who, with consistent practice and a little luck, can become the MVP of the game. So, next time you’re in a close-quarter encounter, don’t forget to give the KSV a try. Who knows, you might just find your new go-to SMG!
And remember, in Warzone as in life, sometimes it’s the unsung heroes that surprise us the most. Just like how I never thought a weapon named after a bird would become my favorite… but here we are!
In the current version of Warzone, there are 30 Submachine Guns (SMGs) to choose from now that Black Ops 6 weapons have been introduced. Interestingly, one of the recently added SMGs isn’t widely favored, despite its impressive close-range capabilities.
On November 14, Warzone started working seamlessly with Black Ops Cold War, and since then, two recently introduced Submachine Guns have become favorite picks among players for intense close-quarter battles as well as backing up Sniper rifles.
Since its debut, the Jackal PDW Submachine Gun has dominated both Black Ops 6 and Warzone gameplay due to its exceptional handling statistics and rapid time-to-kill. On the other hand, the C9, a Black Ops 6 variant of the MP5, is another preferred Warzone SMG among players, who appreciate its high sprint speed and versatile magazine choices.
As someone who’s been playing Call of Duty: Warzone for quite some time now, I can attest to the fact that both the KSV and Jackal Submachine Guns are top-notch options when it comes to close-quarter engagements. However, after countless hours of gameplay, I’ve come to find that the lesser-used KSV actually boasts a faster Time-To-Kill (TTK) than the Jackal. This makes it an excellent choice for those looking to build their loadouts for Warzone Ranked.
In my experience, the KSV’s speed and efficiency in taking down opponents have proven to be quite advantageous, especially in high-pressure situations. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking to up your game in Warzone Ranked.

This equipment setup aims to make the KSV Submachine Gun the quickest to eliminate opponents when landing headshots consistently, as analyzed by TrueGameData who compared the statistics and found that the KSV performs better than Warzone’s most favored SMGs.
He mentioned the PP-191 and Jackal configurations, but the KSV stands out as a stealthy option. It requires just 9 shots to eliminate an enemy within 600 milliseconds if you land 2 headshots along with chest shots. This is more efficient compared to the Jackal, which needs to score all headshots for a kill time under 600ms.
Don’t let the need for two headshots deter you from testing out this loadout. The vertical foregrip accessory on the KSV makes its recoil pattern remarkably manageable, shooting vertically with minimal deviation.
To date, the KSV has yet to make it into the top 10 weapons in Warzone, but its impressive speed-to-eliminate and growing preference in Black Ops 6’s competitive play mode suggest that it may soon be among the most sought-after guns within the game.
