As a longtime follower of AlbertoHRom, I must say this recent turn of events has left me quite puzzled and concerned. Having watched his tutorials for years, I always admired his ingenuity and passion for science. However, the allegations against him are alarming, to say the least.
It’s hard to believe that someone who seemed so committed to education and entertainment could be involved in such dangerous activities. Yet, it’s important to remember that we don’t know all the facts yet. Alberto has denied teaching viewers how to make explosives, and I hope this is indeed the case.
If Alberto truly was just sharing his knowledge for educational purposes, then I hope he can clear his name and continue to inspire others with his unique perspective on science. On a lighter note, I’ve always wondered if Alberto could whip up something as impressive as one of his homemade explosives in the kitchen – perhaps a YouTube series titled “HRom’s Mystery Recipes” would be a hit!
Let’s hope that justice prevails and we get to see more of AlbertoHRom, whether it’s in a courtroom or back in his workshop. In the meantime, I’ll be keeping a close eye on this developing story.
As a gamer, I’d rephrase that statement like this: “I, a Spanish YouTuber, have been accused of teaching others how to create illegal explosives and weapons through my tutorials. I refuse to discuss the details of my recent arrest, labeling these allegations as unjust.
It appears that YouTube personality Alberto R. H., commonly referred to by his followers as ‘AlbertoHRom’ or simply ‘HRom,’ has been allegedly taken into custody due to his videos demonstrating the creation of homemade explosives.
As I, a 27-year-old individual, found myself in the charming Spanish town of Castro Urdiales, I was respectfully detained by the diligent officers of the Guardia Civil police.
In a workshop belonging to this particular YouTube personality, dangerous activities such as mass-producing explosives and crafting homemade weapons including flamethrowers were being carried out. The hazardous nature of these activities led the Spanish intelligence branch, Guardia Civil, to name the raid on the premises as “Operation Sputnik.
Approximately ten years back, Alberto, who was then pursuing studies in industrial engineering, started sharing his DIY bomb-making guides publicly.

Police seize over 20 kilos of chemicals used to make explosives
Investigators started worrying about the safety measures surrounding the YouTube creator’s farming operation, as it was run on a property owned by his family. The Spanish Civil Guard expressed concerns about potential accidents leading to an explosion, which could endanger not only the YouTuber and his family but also neighbors, cause material damage, and start fires.
Additionally, there was concern among authorities that Alberto’s tutorials might spread globally, potentially escalating criminal activities on a larger scale.
During a search of his premises, authorities uncovered more than 20 kilograms of chemicals used in the illicit production of powerful explosives. Additionally, they discovered digital tools on which Alberto was learning to construct destructive devices.
Prior to his own arrest, Alberto’s YouTube channel played a role in the incarceration of an individual in 2022. This person was allegedly given a sentence of one and a half years for viewing Alberto’s videos.
The details of charges against Alberto are yet to be fully concluded, but he has been accused of producing explosives illegally, posing risks with explosives and other hazardous substances, creating potential forest fires, and disregarding orders from a law enforcement official.
Alberto denies he taught viewers how to make explosives
In a YouTube video posted on December 27, Alberto expressed that it’s been a difficult week for him. He continued by stating that people are accusing him of something quite serious.
Over the course of the video, the YouTuber confessed that law enforcement officials had conducted a search in his workshop. However, he maintained that they discovered he was not involved in terrorist activities or running a dangerous lab.
He stated that the videos he produces serve both purposes of amusement and instruction for his audience, stressing that he has never advised his subscribers on creating illegal explosives depicted in his videos. He further expressed that he considers this characterization as highly unjust.
