The Oscillation modifier, while not everyone’s cup of tea, presents an opportunity for those who dare to embrace it – a DPS boost if used correctly.
The Revision Zero Exotic seems tailor-made for this challenge, its precision hits charging Hunter’s Trace with ease, even when damage is reduced. Pair that with the boost from the artifact and you’ve got a recipe for some serious damage output. And let’s not forget about those stun-inducing special rounds against Barrier Champions. It’s like a cosmic dance of destruction!
The god roll for Revision Zero, with Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Vorpal Weapon, 4-Timer Refit, and Composite Stock, is a testament to Bungie’s understanding of what makes their players tick. The stability, damage output, and perks are all finely tuned to create a weapon that can take down even the toughest enemies with ease.

This week, Destiny 2 gamers have an opportunity to collect twice the usual Nightfall rewards and advance their Vanguard rank faster. However, achieving this requires overcoming the contentious Oscillation modifier. Fortunately, one Exotic item simplifies the process sufficiently.
In the latest episode, Revenant, I stumbled upon a fresh gameplay tweak called Oscillation in Vanguard activities. This bad boy amps up my firepower when I keep rotating between specific weapons. But if I stick to one gun for too long, it’s the damage that starts dwindling instead.
Though Oscillation hasn’t been widely liked by players, it does offer a DPS (Damage Per Second) increase if used correctly. A weapon particularly effective for utilizing this modifier is Revision Zero, as Hunter’s Trace charges on accurate hits rather than final kills. This makes it simpler to charge up with reduced damage since you’ll be able to land more precise shots rapidly.
When the Hunter’s Trace is all set, you can trigger it to equip powerful ammo that penetrates shields. These bullets pack a real punch when enhanced by Oscillation and have the ability to stagger Barrier Champions, who are quite prevalent in this week’s Nightfall mission.
Additionally, Pulse Rifles are shown on Revenant’s artifact, increasing their firepower by an additional 25%. When combined with Oscillation, Unstoppable Pulse Rifle, Vorpal Weapon, and Kinetic Weapon Surge, this equates to four lethal shots capable of inflicting a grand total exceeding one million damage. The most advantageous aspect is that this powerful attack can be swiftly recharged and used repeatedly against tougher foes whenever necessary.

Regarding benefits, the Vorpal Weapon significantly increases damage by 20% when attacking bosses. Pairing it with Hunter’s Trace can maximize its potential, making it a crucial choice. It’s recommended to use this in conjunction with the 4-Timer Refit, which functions similarly to Fourth Time’s the Charm, minimizing the frequency of reloading.
To create Revision Zero, you should gather its blueprint by finishing one round of Operation Seraph’s Shield on the Normal setting initially. Obtaining the blueprint happens automatically upon completion, while the catalyst can be acquired by successfully completing a subsequent run on Expert mode.
I regret to inform you that if you haven’t mastered crafting Revision Zero yet, you won’t get a chance to utilize it during this Game Master (GM), as Operation Seraph’s Shield isn’t our highlighted Exotic mission this week.
