Karen Huger, star of “Real Housewives of Potomac”, has been convicted on all charges except reckless driving, in connection with her DUI from earlier this year, according to People. In response, her attorney A. Scott Bolden stated, “Although we are disappointed by the jury’s verdict, we respect their decision and appreciate their time considering our case.” On March 19th, Huger collided with her car while driving home from dinner with a friend, and witnesses alleged that the vehicle reeked of alcohol. Footage of the incident was released after the trial, during which an officer repeatedly questioned Huger about consuming alcohol but did not receive a clear answer. Approximately seven days following the accident, Huger was charged with DUI and DWI, and she subsequently issued a statement that omitted any reference to the DUI charge and instead attributed the crash to her “emotional state” and mourning for the loss of her parents. “The passing of my cherished mother has brought on waves of grief, and with Mother’s Day approaching, it feels like a tidal wave,” she stated at the time. “Last night I met a friend for dinner, we discussed sensitive topics emotionally, and I was crying as I drove home when I saw a car heading straight towards me.” Her sentencing is scheduled for January 29th.
