MrBeast, or Jimmy Donaldson, is a wealthy individual who enjoys setting up internet contests where ordinary people compete for money. He’s partnering with Amazon Prime Video for “Beast Games,” a new competition series in which 1,000 participants vie for prizes worth millions of dollars, including $5 million cash (claimed to be the largest cash prize in TV history), luxury cars, and a private island. It’s intriguing to consider how one might report a gifted private island on their tax return. However, this might not be the primary concern for some contestants, as a lawsuit has been filed against Donaldson and Prime Video over allegations of unpaid wages and hostile working conditions. During filming, several contestants required hospitalization, and others complained about small and infrequent meals on set. It seems that meal preparation might not be one of MrBeast’s strong points.
Currently, you can watch the first two installments of the show on Amazon Prime Video, with fresh episodes being released every Thursday (except for the second last episode on February 7). However, it’s important to note that none of these episodes will be available on YouTube, except for a brief, around 20-minute video that previews the competition narrowing down the contestants from 2,000 to 1,000 for the official series.
