As a seasoned cinephile with an affinity for Marvel’s cinematic universe, I find Nate Moore‘s departure from Marvel Studios bittersweet. With a decade-and-a-half tenure that spanned from the early days of Iron Man to the groundbreaking Black Panther and Eternals, he played a pivotal role in shaping the narrative tapestry we’ve come to love.

Nate Moore, a high-ranking creative officer at Marvel Studios and producer behind “Black Panther,” “Eternals,” “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and the upcoming “Captain America: Brave New World,” has decided to move on after 14 years with the studio to focus on independent film production. However, he will continue to work with the team for the third Black Panther movie, which is expected to be directed by Ryan Coogler.

Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige and co-president Louis D’Esposito praised Nate as an exceptional executive, colleague, and friend within Marvel Studios in a statement. They expressed that he has been a vital part of their team since 2010, and his impact will be felt in the stories they tell moving forward. While they will undoubtedly miss him, they eagerly anticipate seeing what he accomplishes next while also enjoying the opportunity to collaborate with him again on the upcoming ‘Black Panther’ film.

Following his tenure at Participant Media, Moore moved on to Marvel Studios in its initial phase, a time when they had merely released the first two “Iron Man” films and “The Incredible Hulk.” He played a significant role in shaping the script for “Guardians of the Galaxy,” served as a co-producer on both “Captain America: Civil War” (2014) and executive producer on “Captain America: Civil War” (2016), and was a crucial creative influence on “Black Panther” (2018) in his role as an executive producer.

Most of what I know about film production comes from my time at Marvel Studios. It’s been a privilege to work with such passionate filmmakers and storytellers who share my love for cinema. I’m thrilled to now use my skills and enthusiasm for movies in various genres, including revisiting the world of Wakanda for ‘Black Panther 3.’

Moore is set to continue his tenure with Marvel Studios until March, after the premiere of “Brave New World”, a production that unfolds the storyline from the 2021 Disney+ series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, where he served as an executive producer.
