I’m so excited! Seed Lab just released a demo for Starsand Island on Steam as part of the October 2025 Steam Next Fest. It’s only available for a limited time though – you’ve got until October 21st to check it out!
The studio also shared a short teaser on social media hinting at a crossover event. It looks like players can expect to see Ginger and Gust from My Time at Portia as guest characters when the full game is released.
Here’s the announcement about the Starsand Island Demo, originally posted on Steam. Although the Steam page currently says the game will be released sometime in the first quarter of 2026, the recent Xbox broadcast from TGS 2025 revealed a specific release date of February 1, 2026, for PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. However, the official Japanese X (formerly Twitter) account suggests this date might only apply to the console versions at this time.
