Destiny 2 Agape god roll for PvE & PvP

Hand Cannons are consistently strong weapons in Destiny 2, no matter what the current best options are. While The Edge of Fate expansion offers many choices, Agape stands out as a particularly useful and adaptable Hand Cannon that hasn’t gotten as much attention as it deserves.

It’s no real shock that everyone’s talking about Spread Shot Hand Cannons – they’re the new hotness in The Edge of Fate, and they’re seriously powerful! But if you’re like me and you still prefer a classic revolver, Agape has you covered no matter where you are in the game. They’ve got options everywhere!

Agape isn’t the absolute best at everything, but it’s one of the few Destiny 2 weapons that excels in both PvE and PvP, and thankfully, it’s fairly easy to get. Here’s what you should look for when farming it on Kepler.

Agape PvE & PvP god roll – Meta analysis

You’ve likely noticed that most recommendations for powerful Solar weapons include both Heal Clip and Incandescent, and there’s a good reason for that. These two perks work incredibly well together, and recent updates in The Edge of Fate – including helpful Artifact Mods and improvements to Solar abilities – have made them even more effective.

If you don’t need extra healing, switching from Heal Clip to Rewind Rounds can speed things up by letting you skip reload animations. This is particularly helpful with Agape, as it normally reloads as slowly as other Heavy Burst Hand Cannons.

Agape is a strong choice for player-versus-player combat. It has great base stats for aiming, range, and damage, which are all important in PvP. The perks *Moving Target* and *Precision Instrument* are especially good for competitive play. *Precision Instrument* is particularly powerful because Agape fires in bursts, letting you quickly build up its damage boost faster than with traditional single-shot hand cannons.

That covers the essentials of Agape, but it’s just one of many powerful weapons in Destiny 2 right now. If you’re looking for more build inspiration, check out our guides for the Auric Disabler and Unfall.
