Derrick Henry & Lamar Jackson join Madden 25 99 Club after new ratings update

As a die-hard football fan who has been following the sport for decades, I can confidently say that this season of Madden 25 has been nothing short of thrilling. The latest player ratings update has certainly stirred up some controversy and excitement among the fans.

Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry have just joined the elite group of 99 club members in Madden 25 following the latest player rating adjustments. As we approach week 15 matchups, these Baltimore Ravens standouts have been outstanding this season. In addition, numerous other players experienced a substantial increase in their overall ratings (OVR) for this week. Here’s the rundown on the Madden 25 Player Ratings Update for Week 15!

Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry Join the Madden 25 99 Club

Let’s take a look at the biggest winners this week:

The first ever teammates to be added to the #99Club in-season

Huge congrats to @Lj_era8 and @KingHenry_2

Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens – 99 OVR (+1)

With an average of almost six yards per carry, amassing over 1,400 rushing yards and scoring 15 total touchdowns, there’s no question about it – Derrick Henry deserves to be part of the Madden 25 99 Club following the player ratings update. The issue is that he should have been included earlier. However, Henry is only two rushing touchdowns short of breaking Jamal Lewis’ single-season franchise TD record. It’s also possible that a running back from Philadelphia could join Derrick Henry on this list soon.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens – 99 OVR (+1)

If you’ve racked up 32 touchdowns and almost 4,000 yards at this stage of the season, you certainly earn a spot in the 99 Club. Although Baltimore isn’t happy with their current record of 8-5, it’s clear that they possess the talent to mount a formidable playoff push. Lamar Jackson undeniably deserves the increased rating in Madden 25.

Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals – 96 OVR (+2)

As a devoted gamer, I’ve been blown away by Chase’s exceptional performance in the NFL this year, leading the pack as the best receiver hands down. However, when it comes to Madden 25, he’s only ranked third with an Overall Rating (OVR) of 96. To date, he’s made 93 catches for a whopping 1,319 yards and 15 touchdowns. It’s high time we induct him into the 99 Club!

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills – 96 OVR (+1)

Historic performances earn a ratings increase for @JoshAllenQB #Madden25 | @BuffaloBills

— Madden NFL 25 (@EAMaddenNFL) December 12, 2024

In a stunning game against the Rams, Allen scored six times, boosting his Madden 25 rating. Regrettably, Buffalo’s defense couldn’t contain L.A.’s offense, which was operating flawlessly. However, it’s hard to criticize a quarterback who has already thrown 32 touchdown passes this season. If Allen maintains his stellar play, he could secure the MVP title.

Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals – 95 OVR (+1)

In various passing stats, Burrow takes the lead. This includes touchdown passes, yards, and more. However, with a record of 5-8, the team is teetering on the brink of playoff elimination with just one loss to go. Despite the impressive numbers that both Burrow and Chase are putting up, the team needs to work on strengthening its defense significantly. This weekend, the Bengals will be going up against the Titans in an attempt to bring their record to 6-8.

In terms of Week 15, it started on Thursday night with a rather dull game between the 49ers and the Rams. However, Los Angeles emerged victorious by scoring three consecutive field goals in the final quarter, securing a 12-6 win. As for the NFC West standings, San Francisco is currently at the bottom, while the Rams are getting closer to the leading position. Interestingly, Green Bay’s victory over Seattle could boost the Rams’ prospects of winning the division title.
