As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that Bandai Namco’s unveiling of Shadow Labyrinth at The Game Awards 2024 has truly piqued my interest. Having grown up playing Pac-Man, it’s fascinating to see such a dark and intriguing twist on the classic game.
At The Game Awards 2024, Bandai Namco introduced Shadow Labyrinth – an intriguing, dark reimagining of the traditional Pac-Man concept, far removed from the simple, innocuous gameplay of the original with its yellow ball eating dots.
The Shadow Labyrinth is a side-scrolling metroidvania game where you assume the role of a sword-wielding adventurer navigating through a shrouded labyrinth. Along your journey, you’ll encounter and battle against malevolent spirits. Overcoming these entities will grant you access to new abilities.

Excitedly put, I can’t contain my enthusiasm as a fan! Shadow Labyrinth is making its grand entrance on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The much-anticipated release is slated for the year 2025!
