Yet, none have captivated me quite like the enigmatic saga of Honkai: Star Rail. The game’s rich lore and intricate world-building have managed to weave a tapestry of wonder that leaves me yearning for more.

In the game Honkai: Star Rail, enigmatic entities called Trailblazers are described as transient figures who travel across various worlds. These cosmic wanderers journey through the universe, observing significant occurrences on the planets they traverse, often with the assistance of a spacecraft called the Astral Express. On occasion, these Trailblazers intervene to help planets and space stations resolve their challenges. The crew of this group has faced numerous hardships, but they consistently manage to overcome them, thanks to Akivili, the god of Trailblaze. Although little is disclosed about Akivili’s present condition, their past plays a crucial role in revealing the Astral Express’s primary objective within the storyline of Honkai: Star Rail.

In the game Honkai: Star Rail, several groups adhere to a predetermined route set by celestial entities known as Aeons. The Astral Express Crew, for instance, follows the Trailblazer’s Path, which was crafted and upheld by Akivili. Aeons are powerful, multidimensional beings who appear to wield unlimited control over the universe. They embody a specific path or philosophy in the game, representing an intense concentration of energy derived from complete dedication. These entities can also grant special powers to those who align themselves with their path, as demonstrated when Qlipoth and Xipe imbued the main character with the power of Preservation and Harmony respectively.

Akivili’s History Holds the Key to the Astral Express’ Main Destination

From a fan’s perspective, the celestial beings known as Aeons in Honkai: Star Rail are usually engrossed in colossal plans that span over millions of years. This can sometimes lead others to perceive their followers as pawns or instruments for their desired objectives. However, Akivili stands out among these Aeons due to their occasional attempts at understanding and connecting with their followers. Their appearances have been witnessed journeying alongside The Nameless, while they crafted star tracks that linked each planet they traversed. Unfortunately, the Astral Express Crew felt the profound sorrow when this Aeon vanished mysteriously without a trace.

In the Data Bank of Honkai: Star Rail, it’s stated that Akivili’s fate was tragically ended due to an incident. However, the current navigator of the Astral Express, Himeko, hints at the possibility of Akivili’s demise. Kafka revealed during the Xianzhou arc that Nous, the Aeon of Wisdom, might have insights into what really befell Akivili. After the Aeon seemed to perish, the Astral Express went dormant for a while until a young Himeko discovered it and restored it to its former splendor. Now, she heads a new team on the Astral Express, continuing Akivili’s legacy by adhering to the Path of the Pioneer.

Although they possess divine-like abilities, Aeons in Honkai: Star Rail aren’t invincible. They can meet their end at the hands of another Aeon or when their Path is overpowered by another. However, if an Aeon’s Path hasn’t been taken over by another, it will continue to exist even after their demise.

How Akivili’s Home World Marks the Beginning and End of the Astral Express’ Journey

The planet from where Akivili originates goes by the name “Pegana.” Currently, not much is known about it, but it’s significant as the initial launch point for the Astral Express. It was here that Akivili first established the celestial pathways, which later interconnected numerous planets, making space travel and exploration safer and more navigable for explorers across the cosmos.

Though Akivili’s home planet plays a significant role in the storyline of Honkai: Star Rail, it seems players won’t get to visit it anytime soon, as the Astral Express is currently following a predetermined route that ends at Pegana. The fate of The Nameless in Akivili’s former abode remains a mystery. Yet, it’s intriguing to note that the final leg of Akivili’s journey and eventually the Astral Express after extensive cosmic exploration, leads back to their home world for repose.
