As a dedicated cinephile with a penchant for edge-of-your-seat thrillers, I couldn’t be more excited about the news that Sidhartha Mallya will join the cast of “Thrill Ride.” With his recent stint alongside Tom Welling and Cam Gigandet in “Mafia Wars,” it’s evident that Mallya has honed his skills in high-stress, action-packed roles.
International Film Bridge announces that Sidhartha Mallya, known for his role in “Mafia Wars,” has joined the cast of the upcoming thriller “Thrill Ride.” Filming is set to start in the United Kingdom during the initial months of 2025.
In this movie, directed by Ryuhei Kitamura (Japan) and written by Chad Law (“Lights Out”) and Christopher Jolley (“Granny Krampus”), we find a group of individuals who are stuck upside-down on a roller coaster. A hidden saboteur menaces to let them fall to their deaths, one by one. Trey is the character portrayed by Mallya in this suspenseful plot.
At the American Film Market, Film Bridge International secured multiple distribution agreements. Specifically, Volga Films obtained rights for the CIS and Benelux regions, while Falcon Films grabbed the Middle Eastern market. Signature picked up U.K. rights during the Cannes Film Market. Further announcements will be made regarding additional territories.
Mallya, who has been seen with Tom Welling and Cam Gigandet in “Mafia Wars,” is currently managed by Untitled Entertainment and Carey Dodd Associates within the United Kingdom.
Kitamura rose to fame with films such as “Versus” in 2000, “Azumi” in 2003, “Godzilla: Final Wars” in 2004, and “The Midnight Meat Train” in 2008. More recently, he has worked on “Three Sisters of Tenmasou” (2022) and “The Price We Pay” (2022).
Film Bridge International’s lineup features “Classified” starring Aaron Eckhart, the upcoming suspenseful movie “Man in the White Van”, the British production “The Dreadful” starring Kit Harington and Sophie Turner, as well as the action-packed thriller “Valiant One”. Currently in production at the studio are Babak Najafi’s action-thriller “The Florist” with Kiefer Sutherland and Jean Reno, Ned Crowley’s supernatural mystery “Killing Faith” starring Bill Pullman, Guy Pearce, and DeWanda Wise, Roel Reine’s survival adventure “Savage Hunt”, and Martin Bonnici’s horror film “Xelter”.
