As a seasoned Path of Exile 2 player, I’ve seen my fair share of challenges and quests that left me scratching my head. From the enigmatic Undamaged Core to the elusive bosses like Mektul or Balbala, the game has its fair share of mysteries. However, one puzzle that’s always seemed to confound even the most seasoned players is the Ascendancy mechanic. It’s like trying to solve a riddle while blindfolded and in a maze!
Many things in Path of Exile 2 is not completely clear. Players have problems with quests like Undamaged Core or Ancient Vows or bosses for example Mektul or Balbala. Ascendancy mechanics are also among the most confusing. The problem is strengthened by the fact that the game is in early access, and we can’t be sure what is a bug or a feature in this case. There is contradictory information regarding Ascendency points in PoE 2. It is one of the most poorly explained elements of the game. In this guide we will try to make it clearer. At least a little bit.
Search Traitors Passage objective in PoE 2 Ascent to Power on Cruel difficulty is not Bugged
It appears that traveling back in time to the harsh version of the world makes the quest look like it did during a regular playthrough. However, earning new Ascendency points does not function this way, so the prompt is misleading. Ignore the prompt, but keep in mind that the mechanic itself seems to be functioning correctly (for most players). To obtain new Ascendency, you’ll need to find alternative methods.
