Phasmophobia Announces Winter's Jest, Its Final Festive Community Event of 2024

As a seasoned gamer with years of ghost-hunting experience under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for Phasmophobia’s Winter’s Jest event! The tantalizing teasers on their X/Twitter account have kept me on the edge of my seat, and now, it’s finally official – Krampus is coming to town!

The horror game Phasmophobia has officially unveiled its upcoming holiday event in 2024, named Winter’s Jest, following a series of hints dropped on their social media platforms like X and Twitter suggesting a winter festivity featuring the character Krampus.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement! The much-anticipated Winter’s Jest is set to kick off on the 11th of December and run all the way through until the 31st of December 2024. This means we get to immerse ourselves in the event and reap some fantastic rewards, making the holiday season even more magical!

Similar to the Halloween Blood Moon event, Winter’s Jest features tasks known as Community Challenges that players can accomplish across four distinct maps, all beautifully adorned with snow and festive decorations for the season. The task for fans is to “uncover something exceptionally ominous hiding within the seemingly ordinary surroundings“.

Besides hunting for ghosts, you’ll have a chance to accomplish extra tasks related to jack-in-the-box items. These completed tasks contribute towards our shared goal and help unlock special rewards.

According to Daniel Knight, CEO and main developer of Kinetic Games, “our community is at the heart of everything we do.” He explained that they’ve created these in-game events as a way to express gratitude towards their players. They are actively incorporating player suggestions and plan to keep introducing more events into the game moving forward.

At the moment, you can play Phasmophobia on a computer using Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, and Xbox Series X/S for the prices of $19.99, £16.75, or €19.50 respectively.
