As a seasoned gamer with decades of FPS experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a tad frustrated by the current state of affairs with Delta Force PC Open Beta. While the nostalgia factor is strong, the technical hiccups and missing features like controller support are a bit of a letdown.
Today marks the commencement of the open beta phase for Delta Force PC! This means anyone keen on trying it out can easily download the game and delve into the gameplay. However, after a 15-year hiatus, the relaunch hasn’t been entirely smooth. Players have reported various technical issues such as crashes, lags, and stuttering. To add to their woes, the anticipated controller support is yet to be implemented.
When to Expect Controller Support in Delta Force?
Using controllers in FPS is quite a controversial topic. For many people who are used to the mouse and keyboard, this is far too imprecise. On the other hand, we have console players that are experienced in using gamepads.
It’s no wonder that a lot of people advocate for using game controllers with PCs. However, the downside is that numerous games do not offer compatibility with these devices. One such example is Delta Force.
Rest assured, the developers are diligently working towards adding this feature. One of the creators confirmed this on Steam, though the exact rollout date is still undisclosed. Interestingly, a moderator on the official Discord server mentioned that the feature will be integrated into the game at the same time as the console versions are released.
You might recall that the mobile and console versions of Delta Force were initially planned to come out by the end of this year. Regrettably, those releases have been postponed. The newest details indicate they’ll launch in Q1 2025, though an exact date hasn’t been provided yet. So, for now, if you’re looking forward to playing Delta Force with a controller, you’ll need to exercise patience and keep an eye out for future announcements.
