Delta Force Servers Might Be Busy Day One. Studio Warns about Queues

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia as Delta Force makes its grand return. The anticipation is palpable, and the prospect of joining the open PC beta on December 5th at 00:00 UTC has me more excited than a cat on a hot tin roof.

In the fast-paced world of First Person Shooter (FPS) games, competition is usually fierce. Towards the end of October, the long-awaited sixth installment in the iconic Call of Duty series, Black Ops 6, was released. If you’re interested, Gray Zone Warfare has also received a significant update recently. Amidst all the excitement, the Delta Force series is making its comeback. The open beta for PC will debut on December 5 at midnight UTC. In anticipation of this event, developers have issued a heads-up about potential server queues.

Team Jade Warns about Queues in Delta Force

It’s common for the launch of free-to-play shooter games to draw a significant number of players (initially, at least). This influx can easily lead to server overload, with queues added to the mix. Creators often underestimate the number of players. Even when they believe they are well-prepared, the player base might exceed expectations. As such, Team Jade has announced that Delta Force servers will be rolled out on:

  1. Nort America – Silicon Valley (US) and Virginia (US);
  2. South America – Brazil;
  3. Europe – Germany and Finland;
  4. Oceania – Australia;
  5. Asia – Japan, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.

They acknowledge the possibility that the number might not suffice. In light of this challenge, they chose to share an update on Steam, expressing their intent to make sure that everyone has a chance to participate.

The server will officially commence operations on Thursday, December 5th at midnight (Greenwich Mean Time). On the opening day, there could be lines, but rest assured we’ll increase our capacity immediately if needed. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this transition period.

Server issues are relatively common in modern gaming. Only two weeks ago Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 had similar problems with long queues. If you would like to joint the number of players, keep in mind that at launch the game will support 12 languages – Simplified Chinese, English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, and Turkish.
