The latest season for Pokemon Go, called Dual Destiny, has now started! Throughout this month, the game is rolling out numerous events and fresh content to celebrate the beginning. Alongside new raid bosses and Spotlight Hours, Pokemon Go will be adding several new Pokemon to capture over the coming weeks, such as Polteageist and Gigantamax Lapras.

Pokemon Go is changing up its selection of raid bosses for December.
This month, you’ll get another opportunity to battle Chill Drive Genesect and Altered Forme Giratina in five-star raids, and Mega Banette, Mega Latios and Latias, as well as Mega Abomasnow, will show up in Mega Raids during the upcoming weeks.
Additional Dynamax Pokémon are joining the roster too! Look forward to encountering Dynamax forms of Machop, Krabby, and other creatures in Power Spots as Max Battle bosses. The popular weekly events during Spotlight Hour by Pokemon Go will be back in December, offering a fresh lineup of highlighted Pokemon and rewards.
Every Tuesday evening at 6-7 PM (local time), a specific Pokemon is likely to show up more often in the wild, offering a great opportunity to expand your Pokedex and accumulate candy. Plus, you’ll receive an additional bonus during that hour, like double Stardust for capturing or evolving Pokemon.

Pokemon Go launches the start of a new season with an event titled “Just My Cup of Tea,” happening from the 3rd to the 7th of December.
The star of the event is the debuting tea Pokemon Sinistea, which will be available in raids and through completing Collection Challenges. You can evolve Sinistea into Polteageist after amassing 50 Sinistea Candy.
During this special event, you’ll notice an increase in the number of Pokémon like Slowpoke, Duskull, and Growlithe roaming around wild areas. Additionally, Galarian Mr. Mime, Hisuian Braviary, and Bombirdier will be making their presence known in raids!

Pokemon Go is hosting an Aspiring Dragons Research Day on December 7.
Between 2 and 5 PM local time, you’ll find Pokemon that transform into dragon types (like Horsea, Trapinch, Swablu, and Skrelp) by completing Field Research tasks. Additionally, Pokemon such as Carvanha, Dwebble, and Ducklett will be more common in the wild during this event. Moreover, the in-game store will provide a Timed Research ticket for purchase which offers extra encounters with these special Pokemon.
Gigantamax Lapras Max Battle Day
On December 8th, Pokemon Go is organizing a Max Battle Day starring Gigantamax Lapras, following the Aspiring Dragons Research Day.
Between 2 and 5 PM in your local time zone, the colossal Pokémon Gigantamax Lapras will show up as an additional tough six-star raid boss in Max Battles. If you find yourself needing assistance in defeating this massive creature, the game is introducing a new item called Max Mushrooms. These items will temporarily boost your Pokémon’s attack power during a Max Battle.
During the Lapras raid event, Pokemon Go is going to provide additional incentives. For this period, they are temporarily boosting your maximum Particle storage capacity to 1,600, and you’ll gather twice as many Particles as usual when you explore.
Young & Wise
The ongoing season of Pokemon Go, titled Dual Destiny, carries on with an upcoming event known as “Young and Wise.” This exciting event is set to take place from 10th to 14th December. Further specifics about the event will be shared as we get closer to the date.
Necrozma Fusion Raid Day
The legendary Pokemon Necrozma is returning for a special Necrozma Fusion Raid Day on December 14.
Between 2-5 PM local time, both Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma, fused forms of Necrozma, will show up more often during raids. Additionally, your chances of encountering a shimmering, rare variant of Necrozma increase significantly if you manage to triumph over this legendary Pokemon in battle.
In the game store within Pokemon Go, a unique, premium ticket will be available for purchase. Those who opt for this ticket can enjoy additional benefits during the event, including boosted Experience Points (XP) and Stardust from raids, plus extra Raid Passes.
Holiday Part 1
Pokemon Go’s yearly Holiday event is coming up later in December. The initial phase is set to take place from the 17th to the 22nd of December. Further details will be shared as we get closer to the event.
