Brawl Stars Shade Guide – All Attacks, Stats Per Level

Shade’s primary attack, known as the “Haunted Hug”, delivers a substantial amount of damage at close range but requires a brief pause before it’s executed. Similar to Frank’s move, there’s a slight delay before the attack is initiated. The Haunted Hug is launched in an upward arc, with Shade’s attack affecting an area in front of him that spans 150 degrees. Enemies positioned directly within this arc receive double the damage.

Just like how Eve, Angelo, and Juju each have their unique abilities, I too, Shade, boast two remarkable traits. The first allows me to skim effortlessly above the water’s surface. But it’s my second trait that truly sets me apart – when in proximity of adversaries (similar range as Buzz), I can harness and amplify my Super!

Shade’s extraordinary ability, the Invisible Body, propels him swiftly and allows temporary penetration of physical barriers. Moreover, this power grants him an enhanced speed, facilitating the swift pursuit and incapacitation of adversaries.

Brawl Stars Shade Guide – Which Star Powers & Gadgets are the best?

Juju has two gadgets at launch:

  • Longarms –“The next main attack has 50% longer range.”
  • Jump Scare –“Shade spooks nearby enemies, slowing them for 4 seconds.”

Additionally, Shade has two Star Powers which players can unlock:

  • Spooky Speedster – “Hitting opponents with the center of Shade’s main attack gives a short movement speed.”
  • Hardened Hoodie – “Shade gets 30% damage reduction while in its Incorporeal Form.”

Furthermore, Juju can use the following gadgets in battle:

  • Speed
  • Vision
  • Health
  • Shield
  • Damage
  • Gadget Charge

Brawl Stars Shade Guide – Recommended Star Power, Gadget, & Gear Setup

In our recommendation, we’ve opted for Jump Scare due to its ability to affect multiple enemies simultaneously. This slowing effect can be advantageous not only for Shade but also for his teammates in situations where they need to reach nearby opponents that have become too aggressive. On the other hand, Longarms are effective when dealing with enemies at a distance, but they don’t offer the same crowd control benefits as Jump Scare does.

Instead of Star Powers, we recommend choosing Spooky Speedster. Unlike Hardened Hoodie, which requires you to be incorporeal for the entire match, Spooky Speedster can assist you anytime without needing your super to be activated. Additionally, the 30% damage reduction offered by Shade might not protect him if he ventures into enemy territory recklessly. On the other hand, the speed bonus provided by Spooky Speedster will aid in escaping dangerous situations or prolonging an attack.

As a gamer, I’d rather opt for boosting Damage to back up Shade in tight spots. Additionally, the Speed Gear can be handy for this brawler to sprint through the grass more swiftly. If those aren’t viable options, I’d suggest going with a Shield or Health Gear to enhance my odds of staying alive.

Brawl Stars – Which Modes Should You Use Shade In (And Which Modes You Shouldn’t)

Gem Grab

Shade’s swift pace and ability to inflict damage make him an excellent choice for eliminating gem carriers. Moreover, his agility ensures he can survive well when carrying gems. Similar to Leon, Shade has the power to drastically shift the course of a game by becoming invisible and obliterating the gem carrier. We anticipate that he will prove to be a significant challenge in this game mode.

Brawl Ball

Shade’s unique talent for traversing objects and floating above water sets him apart in Brawl Ball games. His capacity to become invisible, intercept passes, and create surprising plays is impressive. On defense, while he won’t be able to stun opponents, his high damage output still makes him an effective defender. Moreover, with his swift pace, Shade should have no trouble outmaneuvering defenders en route to the goal.

Heist

Utilizing his swiftness and power, Shade is capable of inflicting significant harm on the vault while evading incoming attacks. If needed, Longarms can be employed to access the vault from a more distant location. Alternatively, Hardened Hoodie comes in handy for maintaining your survivability and continuously damaging the vault. Regardless of the approach, Shade will undoubtedly prove troublesome during a Heist operation.

Solo & Duo Showdown

In a swift and versatile manner, Shade excels in Showdown scenarios. By taking down several targets simultaneously, he boosts both his own power and that of his teammate. As the toxic fog advances, it grows simpler for Shade to eliminate his adversaries efficiently.

Brawl Stars Juju Guide – What Modes Should I NOT Use Shade In?

Bounty/Knockout/Wipeout

Typically, these three modes are more advantageous for combatants who excel in long-range skirmishes and can dish out damage from afar. If Shade manages to get close, he could potentially pose a challenge. However, traversing the map while staying unscathed is quite challenging. Additionally, when you come face-to-face with an opponent brawler, it’s crucial that they don’t have any means of stunning, silencing, or pushing you back.

In summary, here concludes our guide on Brawl Stars’ Shade character. Wishing you success in acquiring him and hoping you have a blast using Shade in your games!
