As a seasoned Stalker fan with countless hours under my belt exploring the desolate lands of the Zone, I must say, this fast travel Anomaly glitch in Stalker 2 has me both thrilled and cautious. The idea of zipping across the map without needing to shell out precious Coupons is undeniably appealing, but the potential for fall damage has me gripping my medkit a little tighter.
In a slightly modified manner, some Stalker 2 players have discovered an unconventional quick-travel technique, referred to as the “enhanced Anomaly glitch.” This method might lead to falling damage, but whether it does or not is uncertain.
In the new Stalker game, traveling fast isn’t a casual activity. Before you can use this feature, you need to encounter the “Guide” Non-Player Character at your current location and then spend Coupons to be allowed to travel to another place.
As a gamer, I found an ingenious trick in Stalker 2: instead of relying on guides and potentially losing my hard-earned currency, I discovered a way to traverse a decent distance between settlements all by myself!
It’s worth noting that this technique relies on a glitch, or anomaly, which not every time ensures a secure landing.
Stalker 2 fast travel bug has players flying high
User ‘jbarn23’ posted a video on Reddit, demonstrating a technique that allowed them to quickly teleport their heavily burdened game character to the nearest township in an instant.
Instead of avoiding Anomalies or using bolts to get through them, it’s often more advantageous to utilize them for travel, as demonstrated by the bug jbarn23 discovered. In the video below, this glitch propels the character skyward, enabling them to cover a significant distance before eventually landing elsewhere.
The flight itself is rather rocky, courtesy of frame rate dips. They at least land safely at their destination, though.
Overweight and need to get to the nearest settlement? Not a problem

Upon being inquired about the process, the user described: “To experience the anomaly, you should align your arrival with the moment your bolt strikes it. I personally find the Veles detector helpful since it assists in getting near the anomaly, but it’s not compulsory.
Many other Stalker 2 gamers in their comments have attempted to recreate the fast travel Anomaly bug. It seems successful more often than not; however, users have warned about potential fall damage to your character during this process.
As a thrilled player, I can say that the creator’s addition to my game was an absolute blast! However, I must confess that the fall damage mechanism feels somewhat unpredictable at times, leading to a significant increase in my demise tally, chuckling about it now. 🙂
In other words, traveling freely across the map can be advantageous, but there’s a chance it might lead to severe or even life-threatening outcomes.
