As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Pokémon adventures under my belt, I can confidently say that this upcoming Necrozma Raid Day is shaping up to be an unmissable event! Remember when we waited years for a shiny Mew back in the day? Now we’re getting not one but TWO coveted Necrozma fusions within a year!
As a dedicated gamer, I’m thrilled to share that starting Saturday, December 14th from 2-5 PM local time, Pokemon GO is reintroducing the highly sought-after Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane Fusions of Necrozma! These extraordinary forms of this iconic Pokemon made their initial appearance at GO Fest 2024 earlier this year. Frankly, I didn’t anticipate their return so swiftly, but it’s a fantastic surprise, especially for those trainers like me who missed out on them previously.
Necrozma Raid Day 2024
During this special occasion, there’ll be a higher frequency of Fusions showing up in Raids, also boosting the likelihood of players stumbling upon Shiny Necrozma through Raids. To make it easier for participants to join the event, the cap on Remote Raids will temporarily rise to 20, and trainers can secure five extra Raid Passes just by spinning Gym Photo Discs during the event.
Following the Raid, players may encounter an opportunity to grab an uncombined Necrozma, potentially even a Shiny one. Notably robust in combat, Necrozma is a Psychic-type Pokémon boasting a maximum Combat Power (CP) of an impressive 4163.
Fusing Dusk Mane & Dawn Wings Necrozma
Combining an uncombined Necrozma with Solgaleo results in the acquisition of either the Dusk Mane or Dawn Wings fusion, depending on whether you opt for Solar Fusion or Lunar Fusion power. Trainers obtain Solar Fusion Power or Lunar Fusion Power by defeating Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma in Raid Battles.
Sunsteel Strike Move
In this new form called Dusk Mane Necrozma, after fusing with Solgaleo, it learns the powerful move known as Sunsteel Strike. To use this attack, you’ll need 3000 Stardust and three Necrozom Candy, which last for a duration of 10 minutes. What makes Sunsteel Strike truly special is its additional effect: it draws daytime Pokémon towards your location just as Incense does.
Feel free to utilize this feature whenever suits you best, as long as you have Stardust and Candy on hand for the cost. Plus, you have the option to prolong its impact. Each time you press ‘Use’, the duration can be extended by up to two hours, allowing multiple uses in a day, resulting in a potential 24-hour period of Incense effect! This could offer quite an advantageous enhancement.
Necrozma Event Ticket Bonuses
Players can also grab a Necrozma event ticket for the following bonuses:
- Eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a total of fourteen)
- Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
- 50% more XP from Raid Battles
- 2× Stardust from Raid Battles
Experience the joy of unwrapping a pre-Christmas present with the brief return of Necrozma’s Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane variants! This rare opportunity lets trainers temporarily acquire these highly sought-after Pokémon. Don’t forget to mark your calendar for the Necrozma fusion event, as it could be your chance to complete your Pokedex!
