CoD: Black Ops 6 Zombies - Citadelle des Morts Trailer Brings Back A Familiar Face

As a dedicated fan of the Call of Duty series, especially the Black Ops franchise, I must say that the anticipation for each new zombie map is always palpable. The latest addition, Citadelle des Morts, has piqued my interest like never before. The French castle in Avalon setting, the continuation of the Requiem crew’s storyline, and the return of an old friend, Sergei Ravenov, have me absolutely thrilled!

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, fans didn’t have to wait for the initial two zombie maps as they were released simultaneously with the game at the end of October. The next destination on the roadmap is Citadelle des Morts, a colossal French castle in Avalon. The narrative progresses with the Requiem team following their escape from Terminus. In the first cinematic trailer for this new map, the crew encounters an old acquaintance named Sergei Ravenov.

In the trailer, we mainly follow Sergei’s point of view, and he’s taken aback to find his former comrades still alive. However, this isn’t a friendly visit, as the group is on a mission to locate someone called Craft, who they believe could revive Maxis, a past foe turned ally, before her tragic death when she sealed the Dark Aether portal.

It appears Sergei is captivated by the new team member, Maya Aguinaldo. Yet, he expresses reluctance towards working with William Peck. Although their objectives might be consistent temporarily, it’s likely that Peck will deceive them eventually—even if he facilitated their escape from Terminus.

On December 5th, you’ll find the Citadelle des Morts map going live, with its main story quest starting at the same time. Previously, Treyarch has given us a sneak peek of the new perks and classic zombie elements that will be part of this map. The Zombies campaign is merely one piece in the larger puzzle of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1, as Activision and Treyarch are working hard to keep gamers entertained for an extended period.
