As a seasoned crypto investor with over two decades of experience in the financial markets, I’ve witnessed the rise and fall of numerous digital assets. The latest endorsement of Ripple’s XRP by model Bri Teresi is yet another testament to the growing acceptance and legitimacy of this cryptocurrency.
TL;DR
- Model Bri Teresi revealed she is part of the XRP army.
- Ashton Kutcher, Madonna, and Snoop Dogg have also previously shown support for Ripple’s native token.
‘I’ve Been an XRP Holder for a While’
Ripple’s digital currency, XRP, boasts one of the most significant user communities in the cryptocurrency world. Recent findings indicate that more than 5.4 million active XRP wallets are currently in use, and the number of supporters and fans is equally substantial.
More recently, Bri Teresi, a well-known model and golf influencer with over a million followers on X, has disclosed that she is also part of the club. She identified herself as an XRP holder, but not particularly vocal about it. However, recent events concerning the Ripple vs. SEC case have prompted her to voice her opinion and “advocate for the truth:
“Given the recent revelations concerning the SEC’s involvement in XRP’s suppression, I believe now is the moment to utilize my platform to advocate for truth and transparency. It’s high time that we shed light on the situation and ensure those responsible face consequences.”
Based on several industry voices, the legal dispute between Ripple and the securities regulator is one of the major hurdles for XRP. Recently, Chairman Gary Gensler of the SEC announced his resignation effective January 20, which has stirred optimism within the crypto community as they anticipate a successor who may be supportive of cryptocurrencies.
Before that, Teresi engaged in another XRP-related discussion on platform X. She asserted that Ripple’s native token isn’t a “scam coin,” reiterating her belief that revealing the truth is crucial.
XRP isn’t a fraudulent cryptocurrency, and there’s no compensation for stating this truth. It’s crucial that we reveal the corruption that has been concealed for far too long. Unveiling the truth is the initial step towards genuine change. We are stepping into a new epoch—one characterized by transparency and responsibility. Let’s work together to bring forth the truth.
Celebrities and XRP
Teresi is among several prominent figures who have consistently expressed their backing for this asset over time. In 2018, the American actor Ashton Kutcher and his partner Guy Oseary made a donation of $4 million in XRP to The Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund.
Following that, I found myself aligning with the iconic pop star, Madonna, in her partnership with Ripple. As announced then, Ripple pledged to match all public donations towards this noble cause and provide a platform for individuals to sponsor children directly through Facebook.
The well-known rapper Snoop Dogg has also engaged with the XRP community. He was extended an invitation by Ripple to perform at their gathering, which took place during the 2018 Consensus Conference.
