‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ Gets Earlier Disney+ Release Date

As a seasoned space-traveling, lightsaber-wielding cinema enthusiast with a lifetime of Star Wars fandom under my belt, I must say that the news about “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” has sent my heart racing faster than an X-wing on hyperdrive! The fact that it’s being released earlier is just the icing on the R2 unit.


The upcoming “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” series, hailing from a distant galaxy, will be available on Disney+ a day ahead of its initial schedule.

Beginning December 2nd at 6:00 PM Pacific Time, the eight-episode series starring Jude Law will make its debut with the first two episodes. Following this, each subsequent episode will be released every Tuesday at the same time for the remainder of the season. Additionally, new artwork for the series has been unveiled along with the announcement.

Based on its official summary, “Skeleton Crew” is about four children uncovering a peculiar secret on what appeared to be a secure home planet. They soon find themselves in a bizarre and hazardous galaxy, navigating their way back home while encountering unexpected allies and adversaries. This journey turns out to be a more exhilarating adventure than they had ever anticipated.

Apart from its legal context, the show features Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon, and Nick Frost in leading roles. Directors for various episodes include Jon Watts, David Lowery, the team of Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung.

Watts and Christopher Ford hold the dual roles of head writers and executive producers, working alongside Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson in these same positions. Chris Buongiorno, Karen Gilchrist, and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, while Susan McNamara and John Bartnicki are responsible for production.
