Hannah Waddingham‘s involvement in this project makes it even more intriguing. I can almost hear the delightful narration she’ll provide, adding depth to the story. Actress Hannah Waddingham, known for her role in ‘Ted Lasso’, graced the red carpet at the premiere of BBC’s upcoming animation titled ‘Tiddler’. This event took place at the Sea Life London Aquarium on a Sunday. Waddingham, who lends her voice to the narrator in this half-hour movie, was seen posing with some of Tiddler’s aquatic companions prior to the screening.
The animation, hailing from production company Magic Light, boasts the vocal talents of Lolly Adefope, Jayde Adams, and Rob Brydon, alongside child actors Reuben Kirby and Theo Fraser in main roles. This production is based on the popular children’s book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, and is directed by Andy Martin and Alex Bain. It is scheduled to debut in the U.K. on BBC and iPlayer on Christmas Day.
EUROVISION
The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to take place in Basel, Switzerland, following a city-wide vote where residents agreed to allocate $40 million of public funds for the production of this grand musical and dance extravaganza. After Swiss artist Nemo clinched this year’s contest, it was announced back in August that Basel, the third most populous city in Switzerland, would be hosting the 2022 competition. However, a right-wing party managed to gather enough support for a referendum on whether public funds should finance the event, which necessitates extensive security measures and logistics. As per France24 reports, residents have now overwhelmingly voted in favor of funding the contest using taxpayer money, with 66.6% in favor. The voter turnout was 57%.
POWERFUL PROGRAMMING

This deal is spearheaded by the eagerly anticipated “Bergerac” reboot, featuring Damien Molony from “The Split” and “Brassic.” The lineup also includes the Welsh crime drama “The One That Got Away,” the period piece “The Hardacres,” season 10 of “Grantchester,” and the documentary series “Picasso.” I can’t wait to share these captivating stories with you!
Bergerac,” inspired by the ’80s BBC series starring John Nettles, puts Molony in the leading role, alongside Zoë Wanamaker portraying his mother-in-law Charlie Hungerford and Philip Glenister as Arthur Wakefield. The production company, BlackLight TV, is responsible for this six-episode series. “The One That Got Away,” another BlackLight TV production, revolves around a murder investigation in Pembroke Dock that resurrects old cases and brings back former lovers. In the main roles are Elen Rhys and Richard Harrington, with Catherine Tregenna writing the script. The period drama “The Hardacres” tells the story of a working-class Yorkshire family’s social advancement in the 1890s. Claire Cooper and Liam McMahon head the cast as Mary and Sam Hardacre. Playground, in association with Screen Ireland, Red Berry Productions, and Newgrange Pictures, produces this series for Channel 5.
