As a longtime fan of League of Legends, I can’t help but be thrilled at the prospect of Swain gracing our screens in the next series set in this expansive universe. Having followed the lore and played as Swain countless times, his chilling presence and masterful tactics have always left an indelible mark on me.
A minor aspect from the final sequences of Arcane Season 2 hints at the possibility that a character from the League of Legends universe could make an appearance in the subsequent series within the LoL universe.
It’s well-known that Riot Games intends to continue their journey beyond the conclusion of Arcane, as Season 2 serves both as a concluding chapter for one storyline and a starting point for a vast array of potential stories within a larger universe.
In League of Legends, there are numerous distinctive locations to pick from, each one worthy of being featured in the series. The show Arcane only presents a slice of League of Legends’ playable characters, all situated within a limited part of an expansive universe. There’s a wealth of unexplored territories in this world.
Yet, towards the conclusion of the second and closing chapter of Arcane, a brief segment hinted at the appearance of Swain, who holds the title of Grand General within Noxus.
Arcane Season 2 hints at Swain for next LoL TV series
Swain serves as a skilled strategist, a formidable Noxian commander who maintains firm control over their country. His power is such that it would make Ambessa tremble in fear.
Based on that explanation, it seems like Swain might play a significant part in the series. However, quite contrary to expectations, he’s merely an observer, watching as the story unfolds from the perspective of one of his demonic crows.
At the instant when the raven blinked open its gaze, it was unmistakable that Swain was the culprit. The contingent of Noxian Ambassadors accompanying him were but a small portion of their formidable military power. It’s no wonder Noxus strikes fear in the League of Legends lore, and Swain is chilling, even by their intimidating standards.
From having his arm sliced off by Irelia and killing a demon to make himself a new one to using the demon inside him to observe and carefully survey any battlefield before him through his ravens, he’s a cold and calculating Grand General. Defeat is rare for him, and even the few losses he’s endured may be part of the grander plan. Swain is the type to willingly lose a battle if it means winning the war.
As a dedicated gamer, I can’t hide my excitement as this hint points towards a potential antagonist for the upcoming League of Legends storyline! It also seems inevitable that Noxus will play a significant role, given its ongoing conflicts across Runeterra. Regrettably, this doesn’t help much in predicting the specific locations we might visit next.
On the other hand, witnessing characters such as Swain and Orianna establish themselves as cornerstones in the developing League of Legends universe is consistently thrilling. There’s an abundance of potential for future adventures, given that these characters could shape the direction of this world, potentially even redefining the very essence of League of Legends itself through a TV series.
The enigmatic finale of Arcane Season 2 presents numerous unresolved plot points within its mythos, opening up possibilities for the show’s creators to attempt a cohesive resolution in future episodes.
