Regrettably, the game encounters various issues such as freezing, stuttering, improper HDR, controller troubles, or missing quest items like Slug. Furthermore, there are inconveniences that modern gamers are familiar with, like a lengthy shader compilation process. To top it off, there appears to be input lag, making camera movement feel sluggish and unresponsive, like wading through mud. However, these problems can potentially be resolved, so let’s find out how.
Input lag fix in Stalker 2
In simpler terms, having smooth and responsive controls is crucial for action-packed games, especially those like Stalker 2 that have been delayed multiple times due to ongoing issues the developers need to address. One problem they’re dealing with is input lag, which can make navigating the game feel like waking up abruptly in the middle of the night. However, dedicated fans have come up with solutions, or rather, a few workarounds, to overcome this annoyance…
It appears that there isn’t a single cause for the slow mouse movement; instead, consider trying multiple solutions to enhance the issue:
- If you use DLSS or FSR with Frame Generation, turn it off.
- Turning off V-Sync is said to fix the input lag for many players, though it can cause massive screen tearing. Interestingly, some fans claim that turning it off and on again alleviates both problems for them.
- Lastly, you can try running the game in exclusive fullscreen mode, which is also one of the ways of eliminating the mouse lag.
