David Spade and Theo Von to Star in Buddy Comedy ‘Busboys’

As a movie buff with a penchant for comedy, I find myself thoroughly intrigued by the upcoming buddy comedy “Busboys,” starring David Spade and Theo Von. With their extensive backgrounds in stand-up comedy, television, and film, these two talented comedians are bound to deliver a side-splitting performance that will leave audiences gasping for air.

David Spade and Theo Von are set to act in and oversee the production of a buddy comedy titled “Busboys.” They have penned this script themselves and are funding it independently.

The film is based in an Arizona border town, where the story revolves around David and Theo, two companions who believe that working as waiters could be the solution to all their issues. However, they quickly realize, as suggested by the logline, that this assumption was incorrect.

Jonah Feingold, known for “At Midnight,” “Dating & New York,” and “EXmas,” will take on the director’s role for the film “Busboys.” Robert Ogden Barnum, along with Spade and Von, will produce this production.

Production will kick off Jan. 10 in Los Angeles.

Spade excitedly announced, ‘We can’t wait to share this unexpected comedy with everyone,'” says the statement.

Known widely for his time on “Saturday Night Live,” Spade has also graced screens in films like “Joe Dirt,” “Grown Ups,” and “The Wrong Missy.” Additionally, he appeared in television shows such as “Rules of Engagement” and “8 Simple Rules.” He garnered an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Dennis Finch on “Just Shoot Me.” Currently, Spade is a touring stand-up comedian and co-hosts the podcasts “Fly on the Wall” and “Superfly” alongside Dana Carvey.

Von is the host of “This Past Weekend,” one of the most popular podcasts in the world. His guests have included everyone from comedians Shane Gillis and Nikki Glaser to non-celebrities such as a mall cop and school lunch lady. This year he interviewed Donald Trump, JD Vance, Mark Cuban and Bernie Sanders. Von is also a stand-up comedian with two Netflix specials, “No Offense” and “Regular People.”
