Colosseum and The Greatest OMNI Carnival Guide for Digimon Story: Time Stranger

Players of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth will tell you the toughest part of the game is the Colosseum. Successfully winning all ten battles in the Master Cup is a real test of skill.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger features a battle arena, now called Paradise Colosseum. As you play through the story, you’ll eventually unlock challenging battles known as The Greatest OMNI Carnival.

This guide covers every battle, detailing what your opponents are like – their strengths and weaknesses – and offering some helpful advice. Then, it’s up to you to pick the best Digimon team and win!

Let’s dive into the ultimate guide for the OMNI Carnival in Digimon Story: Time Stranger, covering every battle in the Paradise Colosseum.

If you’ve got a guest Digimon in your party, they’ll also join the matches.

Searching for Nanimon

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Digitamamon Data Null
Botamon No Data Ice / Wind / Dark

The first battle, “Searching for Nanimon,” can be tricky despite being against a Botamon. While Botamon aren’t very powerful, their X-Heal ability can be frustrating to deal with, so don’t take them lightly.

The battle gets really frustrating because Digitamamon can revive itself. Ideally, try to defeat both Digitamamon and its partner at the same time to prevent them from helping each other. Alternatively, using an attack that prevents healing can stop their constant recovery.

King of Big Bad Bugs

Digimon Attribute Weakness
FunBeemon Virus Fire / Earth
Snimon Vaccine Fire / Wind
Tentomon Vaccine Fire / Wind

I equipped my Digimon with one Vaccine and two Data types, all specializing in Fire attacks. I targeted FunBeemon first, then my Data Digimon quickly defeated Snimon and Tentomon.

They apply some boosts to their team, but don’t seem to have any abilities to heal. They’re relatively fragile, so exploiting their weaknesses should lead to a fast victory.

Monzaemon and Friends

Digimon Attribute Weakness
SaberLeomon Data Plant / Wind
Monzaemon Vaccine Fire / Null
Unimon Vaccine Earth / Dark

You’ll be fighting Monzaemon and his friends, a clear nod to the characters from Winnie the Pooh.

SaberLeomon is an attacker who can slow down enemies, so be sure to heal your Digimon if they get affected. Unimon attacks with light-based damage and can also heal allies.

While Monzaemon has several abilities, Heart’s Attack is the most effective for healing. Focus your attacks on the High Bear first, then Unimon, and finally, Tigger.

Lucky Number 100!

Digimon Attribute Weakness
SkullMeramon Data Electricity / Null

You’ll be facing SkullMeramon by himself in this battle, but he’s tougher than he looks – don’t underestimate him! If you do, you might become his hundredth defeat. Once he’s down to half health, he’ll start using a powerful Triple Action attack, and might even follow it up with two consecutive Heavy Metal Fires, which can deal damage to your entire team and poison everyone.

If your team mostly consists of Virus-type Digimon, you should be in a good position. However, be careful, as SkullMeramon will typically attack three times in a row and may also repeatedly use his Heavy Metal Fire attack.

In general, just attack and heal when needed, and you’ll win easily enough.

Trustworthy Truth-Tellers

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Whamon Vaccine Electricity / Steel
Puppetmon Virus Fire / Steel
Lillymon Data Fire / Steel

The opponents you’ll face probably have a Digimon for each element, just like your team. You can use this to your advantage by having each of your Digimon target the element it’s strong against, or by focusing all your attacks on a single enemy.

I recommend defeating Lillymon first. Besides healing herself with Aura – which you’ve probably figured out I really dislike in enemies – she also boosts her allies’ power. Then, I focused on Whamon, as it kept putting my Digimon to sleep.

Circus in the Red: No Misreckoning

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Piedmon Virus Steel / Null
BanchoLeomon Vaccine Ice / Wind
SkullMammothmon Vaccine Fire / Light

So, there were three Mega-level Digimon? That sounds intimidating, but they weren’t actually that tough. I battled them – two were Data-type and one was Vaccine-type – and I concentrated on defeating Piedmon first, then quickly finished off the remaining two.

These enemies aren’t very tough, so you shouldn’t have much trouble with them. Just target their weak points and remember to heal when needed – same strategy as before.

The Royal Flush

Digimon Attribute Weakness
2x Sukamon Virus Water / Ice
PlatinumSukamon Virus Water / Ice

Ugh, this battle is rough! It’s all Virus types, so you *need* to stock up on Vaccine and maybe something to deal with the stench. Every regular Sukamon is super weak to Water and Ice, but watch out for PlatinumSukamon – it’s got pretty high defense, so it’ll take more to take it down.

If you’ve already won the previous battles, this shouldn’t be too difficult. To make things easier, use Digimon with the Vaccine attribute and strong Intelligence and magical abilities – they’ll quickly defeat the enemy.

Covert Honey Corps: Royal Commandos

Digimon Attribute Weakness
3x TigerVespamon Virus Water / Electricity

These three TigerVespamon primarily attack with physical moves and occasionally reduce your defense. The biggest problem is that once any one of them falls below half health, all three will start taking two turns in a row.

Expect a constant stream of attacks, but a team entirely composed of Vaccine-type Pokémon should handle it well. Just be careful not to get caught off guard by their consecutive turns.

Imperialdramon: Paladin Mode

Reward: Omni Blade

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Imperialdramon PM Vaccine Dark

It looks like the opponent’s Digimon was Imperialdramon PM, which is a Vaccine type. That means you really needed to use strong Data-type Digimon to have a chance.

His Omni Blade attack is incredibly powerful and deals a lot of damage. It can even defeat my protective Digimon in one hit, particularly if he uses Guard Break first. Because of this, it’s best to use Data-type Digimon.

Because he’s by himself, you can probably guess what’s going to happen. He’ll start using his Triple Action attack when his health gets down to around 75% and just keep attacking.

Okay, so this guy hits hard, but he’s actually pretty predictable. The key is to stay healed and just blast him with Dark attacks whenever you can. If you stick with that, you’ll eventually take his sword. And trust me, getting that sword is worth it – it lets you digivolve into Imperialdramon PM, which is awesome!

If you jumped into the OMNI Carnival right when it started, you’ve reached the final challenge for now. To unlock more matches, you’ll need to continue the main story or complete some optional side quests.

The True Twentiest

Requirement: Complete The Easy Road Is Best side mission

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Grademon Vaccine Fire

Once you finish the quest ‘The Easy Road Is Best,’ Grademon will become overly confident and challenge you to a battle at the Paradise Colosseum. Now it’s your turn to defeat him.

Grademon is a Data-type Digimon, meaning it’s vulnerable to Vaccine-type attacks. It begins fights aggressively, immediately launching a powerful offense.

Similar to many tough opponents, the key to victory was simple: keep my Digimon healthy while focusing attacks on the enemy’s weak spot.

Gatekeepers of Fire & Ice

Requirement: Complete Fire and Ice at War main mission

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Sorcermon Vaccine Fire / Dark
Wizardmon Data Ice / Steel

After completing the main story in Heat and Chill Cosmic, travel to the Guardian Palace. There, Vulcanomon will tell you about a new opponent who’s entered the Paradise Colosseum.

I recommend going immediately so Apollomon and Dianamon can assist in the fight.

Sorcermon and Wizardmon are incredibly powerful attackers. I recommend building a Data-focused team and prioritizing Sorcermon initially, then switching to a Virus-based team to counter Wizardmon.

Having the Olympian Digimon with you will make the battle much simpler. Just be sure to avoid sending Digimon whose types are weak against the enemy – they could be defeated in a single hit.

Hey, Kid! You Here for a Fight?!

Requirement: Complete The Mad Oracle main mission

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Titamon + SkullBaluchimon Virus None
Tsunomon In-Training II Fire / Water / Plant
Dorimon In-Training II Plant / Earth / Wind

You’ve likely battled the rampaging Titamon before, so you have some idea what to expect. But it’s always good to be prepared! Since he’s a Virus-type Digimon, be sure to equip some Vaccine attacks to effectively fight this giant, infectious creature.

Titamon is a fairly simple enemy to fight. He doesn’t have any elemental weaknesses, and actually resists Earth and Steel attacks. He’s also completely immune to Dark-type moves, so it’s best to avoid using those. Just keep that in mind, and you should do well!

During the battle, Titamon will temporarily lose his abilities and divide into two weaker Digimon, Tsunomon and Dorimon. Because these new forms don’t have any special strengths or resistances, you’ll need to exploit their weaknesses to different elements to deal more damage.

Despite their appearance, these Digimon can still pack a punch, particularly when Tsunomon calls upon Chronomon’s strength. Because their attacks are all Earth-based, consider using Digimon or equipment with Earth resistance. Keep up the pressure, and you’ll eventually win.

Lucemon ⅔

Requirement: Complete A Gift from the Hosts side mission

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Seraphimon Vaccine Dark / Null
Ophanimon Vaccine Earth / Dark

Once you finish the “A Gift from the Hosts” side quest, you’ll unlock the ability to travel between different times and places. This lets you visit the Paradise Colosseum and challenge the three new combat encounters that have become available. Be warned, though – these fights are significantly more difficult!

Both Seraphimon and Ophanimon are Light-based Vaccine Digimon, so be ready to counter that. They deal a lot of damage, but only attack once each round. During the battle, Seraphimon used X-Heal when Ophanimon was low on health, forcing me to reduce her HP twice to finish her off.

I’m not sure if Ophanimon can also heal its partner, but it’s likely. Just bring some powerful, evil Data-type Digimon and cause chaos in the Digital World.

Golchidrarin

Requirement: Complete A Gift from the Hosts side mission

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Goldramon Vaccine Dark / Null
Chirinmon Vaccine Fire / Dark

Yet another Holy Vaccine pair. What’s going on in digital heaven?

Okay, so Goldramon is *really* weak to Dark attacks – like, double weak! That means Dark skills will absolutely destroy it. And good news – Chirinmon is also weak to Dark, so I can actually reuse the same team I used in the last battle, which is a huge time-saver! I’m feeling pretty confident about this now.

Just letting everyone know, I won the battle using Auto-mode and didn’t need a super powerful Digimon to do it. My team was made up of Mega Digimon, all around level 38.

The Guardian’s Guardians

Requirement: Complete A Gift from the Hosts side mission

Digimon Attribute Weakness
SlashAngemon Vaccine Dark / Null
ClavisAngemon Vaccine Dark / Null
MagnaAngemon Vaccine Earth / Dark

Something strange is happening in the Digital World, it seems like a bet is being made, because we’re seeing four Digimon who are Vaccine-type Angels again.

Yes, you can use the same team again. Just be aware that all of your Digimon have abilities that focus on Light. To avoid trouble, either use Digimon strong against Light, or give them accessories that offer protection.

I targeted SlashAngemon, then MagnaAngemon, and finally ClavisAngemon. Because ClavisAngemon can deflect physical attacks, you’ll need to use magic to defeat him.

Terrier Twins and Their Teacher

Requirement: Complete all previous bouts

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Lopmon Data Plant / Earth
Cherubimon (Good) Vaccine Earth / Dark
Terriermon Vaccine Plant / Steel

I chose a strategy of two Data Digimon and one Vaccine Digimon, prioritizing the elimination of the single Lopmon. While Rookie Digimon can deal significant damage, they aren’t as powerful as Cherubimon, so it’s best to avoid using Virus-type Digimon altogether.

It looks like Lopmon (or maybe Terriermon?) can use a Pixel attack on your Digimon, but you should have plenty of healing items right now, so it won’t be a big deal. After you’ve defeated both of the Rookie Digimon, concentrate your attacks on Cherubimon to prove they aren’t as strong as they seem.

Master & Pupil Trio

Requirement: Start The Helper from Shambala and The Forgetful Helpers side missions

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Kotemon Data Water / Earth
Zanbamon Virus Plant / Electricity
Musyamon Virus Fire / Wind

As you progress to the later stages of the game, several new side quests become available. One of these is “The Helper from Shambala,” which begins by speaking with Kunlun. Following that conversation, head to the Paradise Colosseum and talk to Kotemon to start the quest “The Forgetful Helpers.”

The next battle takes place in the Paradise Colosseum against Digimon with an eastern theme. To unlock it, I built a team with two Vaccine-type Digimon and one Virus-type, since Kotemon is Data, and Zanbamon and Musyamon are Virus.

These enemies have varied weaknesses, but you can prepare to counter them. They fight relentlessly, focusing purely on attack – no special abilities or healing. Interestingly, when defeated, they seem to call for help, almost like they’re reaching out to a leader.

Hero from Shambala

Requirement: Complete The Forgetful Helpers and accept Susanomon the Hero

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Susanomon Vaccine Earth / Null

The Shambala hero is by far the toughest opponent you’ll face in the arena. The fight hadn’t even begun before he instantly defeated my Slayerdramon.

Because he’s playing solo, he’s likely to use Triple Action soon. Make sure to have Data Digimon ready to absorb all the damage from Susanomon.

Make sure your HP is always full. The Ama no Habakiri attack hits all your Digimon and seems to bypass their defenses, so even your Data Digimon will take massive damage. I lost about half of my team’s health with just one use of this attack.

After a long fight using a variety of skills – X-Aura, Earth, and Null – I finally defeated the boss and earned the title ‘Villain from Shambala’.

Golden Intruders

Requirement: Accept Final Battle Challenger side mission

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Pharaohmon Virus Electricity / Light
Rapidmon (Armor) Vaccine Water / Dark

Each virus has a specific vaccine, and both have weaknesses. This battle is straightforward: use your strongest Mega or Mega+ attack to defeat them.

Man, that fight was awesome! They just kept throwing out their strongest attacks, but it actually worked to my advantage. I didn’t even *need* to worry about healing my teammates – I exploited their aggressive playstyle and totally wiped the floor with them. Victory was mine!

Mighty Mad Man

Requirement: Complete Yaro-Kei Ramen and accept A Stubborn Fighter?

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Gankoomon Data Water / Ice

As part of the quest to find all the Royal Knights, you’ll eventually need to find Jesmon after speaking with Gankoomon. Once you’ve completed Jesmon’s task, return to Gankoomon, who will then challenge you to a battle in the arena.

Gankoomon is currently operating solo, which might lead you to expect a flurry of attacks. However, he’s never actually used multiple actions in a row. Despite appearing tough, he’s actually quite weak, and a few hits from Virus Digimon should be enough to defeat him.

Solo Beauty

Requirement: Complete The Beautiful Knight Corps and accept A Display of Beautiful Swordplay

Digimon Attribute Weakness
LordKnightmon Virus Electricity / Wind

Another Royal Knight is ready for battle! Once you finish the quest to locate LordKnightmon, you can challenge him to a fight in the Colosseum.

Similar to the battle with Gankoomon, King Drasil appears to be easily granting knighthoods – LordKnightmon is proving to be a very weak opponent.

He primarily uses single attacks and ignores Double or Triple Actions, so concentrate your Vaccine attacks to secure a quick victory.

Kings of Pharaohmon

Requirement: Finish the game

Digimon Attribute Weakness
KingEtemon Virus Fire / Wind
Pharaohmon Virus Electricity / Wind
PrinceMamemon Data Electricity / Dark

Once you’ve completed the game and saved a clear data file, load it again. Then, return to the In-Between Theater to get a message from Volcanomon about a new battle.

This extra fight can seem tough because it only becomes available after you’ve completed the game. However, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. All the enemies are level 75 and have pretty strong stats, but it’s not necessarily as difficult as you might expect.

KingEtemon and Pharaohmon are Digimon of the Virus type, but PrinceMamemon is a Data type. I recommend focusing on Vaccine Digimon to defeat the two Virus types first, and honestly, you’ll have to deal with KingEtemon’s constant taunting either way.

A good approach is to use widespread Electric or Light attacks. With Aegiomon fighting alongside you, you’ll have more Digimon on your side. Digivolve Aegiomon into Aegiochusmon: Holy and unleash a powerful attack!

If you defeat KingEtemon before Pharaohmon, Pharaohmon will likely revive him. This can disrupt your strategy, but you can overcome it by using attacks that hit the entire party to defeat Pharaohmon.

Guess what? Once you complete this bout, the next one is finally the last!

Marsmon, God of DigiBattles

Requirement: Win every other match

Digimon Attribute Weakness
Marsmon Vaccine Water / Ice

Get ready for the last battle! You’ll need strong Data Digimon with Water or Ice attacks, and equipment that protects against fire, to defeat Marsmon. He’s a tough opponent at level 80 and can take four turns in a row – it’s almost like he’s cheating!

Marsmon usually relies heavily on his Corona Sanctions ability, which causes fire damage and becomes stronger as he gains buffs. He also frequently uses Lunatic Gate III, a skill that prevents all physical damage to his entire party.

Occasionally, Marsmon will increase his own attack power. When he’s close to being defeated, he’ll use Spirit to significantly boost all of his stats and then rapidly attack. This is when Corona Sanctions become especially damaging, so having fire-resistant equipment is crucial. He’s not very bright, but he’s still a powerful enemy.

I focused on keeping my Digimon with X-Aura alive, as it constantly maximized my team’s health. Meanwhile, the others attacked. I also used High Field whenever I could to strengthen my allies. Surprisingly, the battle wasn’t as difficult as I thought. Honestly, I had a harder time fighting Junomon.

Congratulations on being the very first triple champion! You’ll receive a Grand Slam gold trophy and finish The Greatest OMNI Carnival side quest. Completing the quest will also reward you with 200 Anomaly Points, one Immortal Egg, and two Courage Point V items.
