Conan O’Brien Will Host the 2025 Academy Awards

Well, I’ve been around the block a few times, and let me tell you, this Conan O’Brien hosting the 2025 Oscars is nothing short of a miracle! It’s like the day Elvis Presley decided to become a priest or when pigeons learned to tap dance. I mean, come on! The man who made us laugh through thick and thin, who kept us company late at night, who made Jay Leno look like a sad, forgotten teddy bear – now he’s the one leading the charge at the Academy Awards? It’s enough to make a girl believe in fairy tales again!

Hell hath frozen over, pigs have grown wings and are now soaring the air, and the sky? Well, honey, it’s falling — the Academy chose a great host. That’s not supposed to happen! The 2025 Oscars ceremony will be hosted by national treasure and tallest man in Hollywood, Conan O’Brien. Did Jay Leno ever get to do that? We don’t think so! “[O’Brien] is the perfect person to help lead our global celebration of film with his brilliant humor, his love of movies, and his live-TV expertise,” Academy CEO Bill Kramer and president Janet Yang said in a statement. “His remarkable ability to connect with audiences will bring viewers together to do what the Oscars do best — honor the spectacular films and filmmakers of this year.” The Academy released a video of O’Brien, meanwhile, getting teased with receiving an Oscar himself, which he sadly will not receive for hosting. They should change that. Give Conan an Oscar!

The 97th Academy Awards are scheduled for March 2, 2025, at the Dolby Theater, starting at 4 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, and will air on ABC. With O’Brien as our host, one can’t help but wonder: Will his assistant, Sona Movsesian, be present? Might she even appear on stage? What role will Sona Movsesian play in these events?
