Yara Shahidi Signs With Objectively Good Management (EXCLUSIVE)

Actress-producer Yara Shahidi has joined forces with Objectively Good Management (OGM) for professional representation.

Yara Shahidi, recognized primarily for her role in ABC’s “Black-ish” and its offshoot “Grown-ish,” has also taken on the role of executive producer for the Freeform show. This series, managed under 7th Sun Productions, a company she co-owns with her business partner and mother Keri Salter-Shahidi, concluded its six-season run in May. 7th Sun Productions, their production house, is currently under a multi-year contract with ABC Signature, an agreement that was expanded in 2022 to include a partnership with Onyx Collective.

24-year-old versatile artist, Yara Shahidi, has a rich acting portfolio that spans various media platforms. This includes her role as both lead actress and executive producer in “Sitting in Bars With Cake,” produced by Amazon Studios. She also made history by becoming the first person of color to play Tinker Bell in Disney’s “Peter Pan & Wendy.” In addition, she lent her voice for a character in Netflix’s “My Father’s Dragon” and appeared in Apple TV+’s series “Extrapolations.” Furthermore, she directed an episode for the Disney+ docuseries “Growing Up.” Upcoming, Yara Shahidi will be seen alongside Keith Powers and Renée Elise Goldsberry in the romantic drama “Bloom.

On November 20th, Shahidi’s new weekly podcast titled “The Optimist Project” will be introduced by 7th Sun Productions on Sirius XM. This show explores the minds of remarkable individuals who are actively shaping their future with purpose, featuring guests such as Janelle Monáe, Courtney B. Vance, Hasan Minhaj, and Kid Super.

OGM is a management company based in Los Angeles, established in the year 2023 by Kheir, Matthew R. Cooper, Uwakokunre (Kokie) Imasogie, and Nicholas “Nikko” Lara. This company manages a variety of talents such as Grammy-nominated musician Masego, comedian Elsa Majimbo, podcaster Simran Kaur known for her show “Girls That Invest”, among several others.
