Tomorrow sees the comeback of Dead by Daylight’s 2v8 game mode, offering fresh killers, revamped realms, new maps, updates for classes, and additional features. The initial run of this mode was incredibly popular, extending its lifespan, and now, players can once again enjoy it this month, with both Killers and Survivors taking part.
Justin Brown, the product director of Dead by Daylight, expressed great enthusiasm about the community’s response to the initial launch of 2v8. One reason for releasing the second version so quickly is that they are eager to put the game back into players’ hands as soon as possible. They don’t want players to have to wait another six months before playing again.
Brown mentioned that the team intends to continue with their current strategy, hinting strongly that the 2v8 mode could resurface shortly.
As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled to share that the latest update in our favorite game has undergone significant modifications, taking into account your valuable insights from the previous edition. Among the exciting additions are three new Killers – Hilbilly, Spirit, and Deathslinger. These killers will now possess distinct Classes, similar to the Survivors. On the other hand, Survivors too will experience some changes, gaining new Active Abilities that complement their unique Classes.
The 2v8 game mode in Dead by Daylight will be accessible from November 12th to November 26th, 2024. For now, it appears that Behaviour Interactive is planning to periodically reintroduce this mode. It’s possible that future iterations may include fresh Killers, maps, and additional content, taking into account fan suggestions, similar to the current version of the game mode.
