Following a year of fierce competition, eight teams secured invitations directly to the Americas RMR based on their rankings in Valve’s Regional Standings. Another eight teams qualified for the event by competing successfully in either the North or South American qualifying rounds.

Shanghai Major American RMR Dates & Format
The offline American RMR event in Shanghai, China, scheduled for November 12-15, 2024, will feature 16 teams battling it out over three days. The ultimate goal? Securing two tickets to the main event of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, which takes place from November 30 to December 15.
In contrast to the APAC RMR, the American RMR adopts a distinct Swiss System Format. This means that each of the 16 participating teams will engage in a series of matches, with elimination and advancement contests being best-of-three (BO3), while all other encounters are best-of-one (BO1). From Round 3 through Round 5, the Buchholz system is employed to determine matchups. The top seven teams secure their place at the Perfect World Shanghai Major, leaving the bottom nine teams out of the competition.
