Elon Musk Reacts to Dana Carvey’s ‘SNL’ Impression, Says Show Has ‘Been Dying Slowly for Years’: ‘They Are So Mad’ Trump Won

As someone who has been following both Elon Musk and Dana Carvey for quite some time now, I must say that this latest skit featuring Dana as Elon on SNL was a real hoot! It’s always entertaining to see comedians take on public figures like Elon, especially when they manage to capture the essence of his unique personality.

Elon Musk is apparently not impressed by Dana Carvey’s impression of him on “Saturday Night Live.”

Dana Carvey simply embodies Dana Carvey,” Musk tweeted on platform, responding to a video clip from last night’s opening sketch. In the clip, Carvey wore Musk’s “dark MAGA” hat and leaped around shouting, “USA! USA!

In response to a post on X regarding the Gothic Trump hat appearing on “SNL”, Musk commented, “They’re clearly upset that @realDonaldTrump won,” followed by a few laughing-crying emojis.

In May 2021, Elon Musk, who hosted “Saturday Night Live,” didn’t just stop there. He also penned, “For years, SNL has been gradually fading, as they lose touch with reality. Their desperate attempt to comply with equal airtime regulations and boost Kamala before the election may have actually damaged her campaign more.” (Musk is alluding to the FCC’s equal time rule, which granted Trump an ad spot due to Kamala Harris’ unexpected appearance on “SNL” prior to the election.)

In the episode following the U.S. election, Dana Carvey, who previously portrayed President Joe Biden for the first five episodes of SNL Season 50, appeared instead as Elon Musk. As the SNL cast dished out mocking compliments towards President-elect Donald Trump (hopefully keeping themselves off his list of adversaries), Carvey made an entrance on stage, donning Musk’s signature dark attire and a MAGA hat.

He jumped up and down and performed some dorky dance moves before saying in an exaggerated South African accent, “Check it out: dark MAGA. Yeah! But seriously, I run the country now. America’s going to be like one of my rockets. They’re super cool and super fun, but there’s a slight chance it could blow up and everybody dies. Haha!”

Afterward, Carvey raised his arms high and shouted, “I’ll see you in the White House!” followed by mimicking Musk’s “USA” cheer, a gesture he made during one of Trump’s campaign rallies before the election.
