As a seasoned gamer with years of virtual escapades under my belt, I must admit that Kai Cenat’s ambition to stream from space has left me utterly astounded and somewhat envious. The audacity and sheer ballsiness of this move are truly commendable, and if it weren’t for the whole potential-death-in-space thing, I might even consider giving it a shot myself.
Kai Cenat openly shares his dream to be the inaugural space-streamer. He’s reaching out to Elon Musk, expressing confidence that he’s the person who can turn this vision into a tangible reality.
On the ninth day of his Mafiathon 2 marathon live stream on November 9th, Kai engaged in conversation with his companions who inquired about his thoughts on whether he could travel to space.
The streamer responded by saying, “It’s possible! If you manage to converse with the appropriate individuals, like Elon or others, you could indeed travel to space. I aspire to be the first person of color to go up there and exclaim, ‘Hey, what’s up!’
He continued: “I did research on it, they said there is a 3-5% chance of dying. But, I’m not going to lie that is a chance I am willing to take.”
Kai mentioned that he intends to broadcast a single live stream. Despite being unsure about the logistics, he indicated that he might require assistance from his friend Elon Musk to pull it off.
Just a short while later, Kai took to his Twitter or X account to inquire of SpaceX’s founder personally. “Hey Elon,” he wrote, “I have an exciting proposition for us. I aspire to become the first streamer to broadcast from space and say ‘YO CHAT’. Given your unique position, I believe you are the best person to help me realize this dream. Together, let’s etch our names in history.
Hi Elon, I have an exciting idea and I think you’re the one who can make it happen! I’d love to be the first streamer to broadcast from space and say “YO CHAT” live. If SpaceX could help me with this project, we could create history together. How about it, @elonmusk @SpaceX?

In less than 10 hours, the post has amassed over 50,000 likes and surpassed a million views, tagging both SpaceX and Elon Musk personally. Given Musk’s frequent engagement on the platform, it appears probable that a reply will be forthcoming at some point.
Currently, neither Musk nor Kai have made any comments or given updates about the possibility of a private conversation taking place between them.
Kai Cenat is constantly streaming around the clock to try and surpass Ironmouse’s record for the most Twitch subscribers ever, which currently stands at 326,252 (as of October 2024). His previous best was 306,621, but he’s already amassed over 290,000 subscribers at the moment this is being written.
The Twitch broadcaster consistently tests the boundaries with his content; however, broadcasting from space would undoubtedly represent his most daring action so far.
For example, his subathon stream was promoted with a cinematic trailer featuring Kim Kardashian and began with a concert in his backyard from Lil Uzi Vert. Since then, Snoop Dogg, Miranda Cosgrove, GloRilla, Kodak Black, and the TikTok star NPC Miles Morales have all appeared as guests.
