As a movie enthusiast with a penchant for animated features that captivate both children and adults alike, I must say I am genuinely intrigued by “The Super Elfkins.” Having grown up on a diet of Disney classics, Pixar masterpieces, and Studio Ghibli’s magical worlds, this film seems to resonate with the spirit of those timeless tales.
The CGI-animated film “The Super Elfkins” has been acquired by various regions after it made its international debut at the American Film Market in Las Vegas.
The movie that received the Kids Audience Award at the Zurich Film Festival is now being distributed by Sola Media. This film is set to hit German cinemas on December 24, with Tobis Film – a prominent independent distributor in the country – overseeing its release.
The Super Elfkins” has found buyers in various regions, such as France (KMBO), Spain (VerCine), Poland (Kino Świat), Portugal (Films4You), the Baltic countries (ACME), and Eastern Europe (Prorom).
Sola Media plans to keep marketing and selling the outstanding regions, including those like English-speaking areas and Latin America, through the American Film Market (AFM).
The movie continues along the path set by its predecessor, the global blockbuster “The Elfkins – Making a Difference” (2020), that was distributed to over 200 nations.
The film’s director is Ute von Münchow-Pohl, who has previously worked on projects such as “Rabbit Academy,” “The Elfkins – Making a Difference,” “Rabbit School” and “Raven the Little Rascal.” The production budget for this project amounts to approximately 9 million Euros ($9.63 million).
In the movie, Elfie’s world as an Elfkin girl gets flipped on its head when she encounters a technologically advanced Elfkin gang that outdoes her own in terms of entertainment. Could Elfie’s friendship with Bo, the youngest member of this rival group, help mend the rift between the Elfkin clans who haven’t interacted for more than 250 years?
The movie was jointly created by Akkord Film, Arx Anima, and Seru Animation. These studios have collaborated with Sola Media on hit productions like “The Elfkins” and “Rabbit Academy” in the international arena recently.
