On November 6, 2024, Twitch star Kai Cenat welcomed rapper DDG as a special guest during his continuous Mafiathon 2 stream, who is known for being linked with Halle Bailey, the actress famous for her role in The Little Mermaid.
In addition to DDG, there was also Halo, his and Bailey’s son, born in December 2023. This youngster has gained significant online attention multiple times during his brief existence, even being turned into a popular internet meme as early as September.
It appears that Bailey learned about her internet-famous child being on Kai’s live stream at the same time as everyone else, as she posted a tweet letting fans know she had no involvement in his appearance on the broadcast and strongly disapproved of it.
In a since-removed tweet, I expressed my dismay, “I wasn’t given a heads up and I’m deeply distressed to find my child exposed to the world on live television.” Being his mother and guardian, it pains me that I was unaware, especially while I’m away from home.
Eventually, DDG removed Halo from public view, which ignited a strong reaction among fans who perceived this action as Bailey unfairly penalizing her co-parent for enjoying time with their shared child.
On the following day, Bailey acknowledged the incident in a subsequent tweet, admitting she had reacted excessively and expressing gratitude towards Kai Cenat for the generous stack of presents he’d acquired for her infant.
Yesterday, I might have overstepped and shouldn’t have discussed it publicly, she wrote. “I trust that HalO is always secure with his father. It’s just upsetting to learn about my little one’s activities with everyone else. Thank you, Kai, for the thoughtful gifts for HalO.

“There’s no need for you to justify your actions to any of these individuals, since none of them can possibly understand what it feels like to be a new mother under public scrutiny.
