As a long-time Pokemon TCG enthusiast with countless hours spent shuffling cards and strategizing moves, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and frustration over the Misty card in Pocket edition. On one hand, it’s a game-changer for water-type decks, offering an instant power boost that can turn the tide of battle. However, on the other hand, the seemingly unpredictable nature of this card has left many players, including myself, scratching our heads in disbelief.
In the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) community, the Misty card is facing criticism as being perceived as “biased” or “unfairly designed.
The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) Pocket version is rapidly gaining popularity, as players start to devise tactics, identify valuable cards, and grasp the workings of its meta-game dynamics.
Some cards possess greater strength compared to others, leading some players to assert that a particular card is “extremely imbalanced” or “unfairly designed.
Ok Misty…

Introduce the Misty Card: This Support item may be utilized only once per turn, and when executed correctly, it offers a significant edge that could even seal your win. The Misty card is particularly effective in decks featuring Water-type Pokémon, and here are its key attributes:
Pick one of your Water-type Pokémon. Keep flipping the coin until you get tails. Whenever you get heads, place a Water-type Energy card from your Energy area onto that specific Pokémon.
To put it simply, using the Misty card allows you to boost water-type Pokémon’s abilities and launch Energy attacks immediately, rather than having to wait for one or even several more turns before attacking.
It appears that the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket app is causing trouble for me, with a Misty card featuring 10 opposing heads causing significant difficulty. I’m finding this quite challenging. Let’s move on.

Many members from our gaming community are asking for changes to this particular game mechanic, as they believe it’s unfairly biased or random, often using the term “manipulated” or “fixed.
Users of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (PTCG) Pocket Edition, based on discussions across social media sites like Reddit, claim that the game’s randomness seems to consistently work against them or always favor them.
As a dedicated gamer, I recently stumbled upon a mind-blowing post on Reddit – one player managed to land on heads an astounding eleven times consecutively! Some claim they’ve even hit twenty-four tails in a row. The general agreement among the community is that it’s high time for a fresh deck; the current card just doesn’t seem fair anymore.
One proposal is to cap the energy usage from the Misty card per game, while another suggests a complete overhaul of the system by the developers.
As the meta (metagame) intensifies and attention shifts towards more competitive gameplay, there are growing worries that the Misty card could disrupt the overall balance of the game significantly.
User on Reddit comments that Misty is poorly constructed. Whenever opponents manage to flip a few heads using her, the game essentially ends in their favor. Since one move can significantly impact the outcome of the game, it seems illogical and excessive to miss out on 2-3 turns because of her.
As I write this, the developers haven’t responded to the increasing concerns yet, but rest assured, we will notify you immediately should there be any updates on their actions.
