As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming experience under my belt, I must say that the news about Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 not using Denuvo anti-piracy protection has filled me with immense relief and joy. The last thing we need is another game marred by technical issues due to overzealous DRM.
The talk about Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 implementing Denuvo anti-piracy technology on PCs was circulating around early October. However, this news didn’t sit well with many as they are not fond of the controversial Digital Rights Management (DRM) system, which its creator claims is due to its high efficacy.
Luckily for us, fans, I myself received some exciting news directly from the team at Warhorse Studios! Yesterday, during their stream, they revealed that the upcoming sequel to Kingdom Come won’t be equipped with Denuvo. Here’s a clip where Sir Toby himself shared this wonderful piece of information.
Just as anticipated, this announcement sparked a significant response across the gaming community. On both live streams and Reddit, many individuals, filled with delight, voiced their approval of this news.
The developers have shared that they will reveal the system requirements for the upcoming sequel by the end of the year. They added that the game is currently performing well, and with their knowledge gained from the debut of the original version, players can expect a pleasant surprise in terms of performance. Sir Tobi, in particular, noted that he plays the game smoothly at home using an RTX 3050 graphics card.
I think people will be really surprised at the type of PC that will be able to run the game.
In this text, it’s stated that “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” is set to launch on February 11, reaching PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Here’s a recording of the stream offering a glimpse at fresh gameplay for quite some time:
