Dr Disrespect boasts about huge YouTube numbers after Twitch scandal comeback

As a gamer with years of streaming under my belt, I can confidently say that Dr Disrespect is a force to be reckoned with. Despite the controversy surrounding his Twitch ban and the subsequent fallout, he has managed to bounce back stronger than ever on YouTube. His streams are consistently among the most-watched in the United States, even outpacing some of his biggest rivals like IShowSpeed.

Since coming back to YouTube following the Twitch ban dispute, Dr Disrespect hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down, maintaining an incredibly high level of popularity.

In June, Dr Disrespect temporarily stopped streaming on Twitch following disclosures by ex-employees that he had been permanently barred from the platform in 2020 due to sending inappropriate communications to a minor.

Initially, Doctor admitted to the accusations which led YouTube to stop monetizing his channel. However, in September, he reappeared to provide additional details about the ban. Hailing from the screen name Guy Beahm, Dr Disrespect argued that the DMs were misrepresented and blamed the platform’s staff for targeting him maliciously.

Ever since that point, the YouTuber has persisted in broadcasting solely on YouTube, with such commitment that he declared he’d prefer to step away from streaming altogether rather than switch to Kick.

As a gamer, I’ve been keeping up with my streaming schedule, diving back into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, PUBG, and other favorites. However, things have changed a bit in my usual duo lineup; my old mates TimTheTatman, NICKMERCS, and ZLaner have stepped back from streaming with me for now.

Regardless, his streams have proven to be quite successful and according to a report from StreamsCharts, Beahm is YouTube’s second most-watched streamer in the United States for October behind IShowSpeed.

In terms of total viewing time, Speed leads significantly with approximately 30 million hours, but Doc isn’t far off with around 2.21 million hours watched. TimTheTatman follows behind with about 1.09 million hours viewed, and no other channels have surpassed the one-million-hour mark yet.

For quite some time now, IShowSpeed and Dr Disrespect have consistently ranked high or very close to the summit in terms of YouTube viewership. This latest development is not entirely unexpected given their past performance. Yet, it underscores the fact that the Twitch drama has apparently had minimal impact on his audience numbers.

Dr Disrespect even responded to this report on X, remarking: “Imagine if I didn’t tear my ACL…”

As a dedicated fan, I’m sharing this update: The streamer is resubmitting his application for YouTube monetization, following the platform’s notification that he must wait a period of 60 days before reapplying after the previous submission.

Instead, Beahm hinted that if the monetization fails, he might be looking at an even larger opportunity on the horizon.

For now, it appears that Doc’s finances are stable. Despite not having monetized streams, he has managed to rake in more than $20,000 in donations during the past month.
