Ye’s New Documentary Asks In Whose Name?

As a movie enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in the lives of the world’s most intriguing personalities, I can’t help but be captivated by the latest news about Kanye West’s upcoming documentary, “In Whose Name?” With a staggering billion-dollar budget and the return of Nicolas Ballesteros at the helm, it promises to delve deep into the unfiltered aspects of celebrity life.

Kanye West, formerly known as Ye, is currently in production for his next documentary titled “In Whose Name?“. According to a press release through Variety, this film will have a budget of one billion dollars and will see Ye collaborating once more with director Nicolas Ballesteros. The aim is to present an unfiltered portrayal of celebrity life, tackling the provocative opinions, grand visions, and bold contrarianism that have earned him the title of the world’s most controversial artist. This new project follows a six-year journey and marks Ye’s second documentary, following his 2022 release on Netflix, the three-part docu-series jeen-yuhs, which was produced by Goodfellas and Utopia along with Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah. A promotional reel for this new film will be unveiled at this week’s American Film Market in Las Vegas. The production team consists of Jack M. Russell, Shy Ranje as co-producers, Justin Staple as co-executive producer, and David Bullock as associate producer. As of now, there is no confirmed release date, but if it hopes to be included in the 2023 Vulture Movies Fantasy League, it needs to premiere after next October.
